I'll never forget when I met...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You mean you went into a box and after the match, you went into the plaeyrs' car park? I did that too!

I met Bobby, Adebayor, Bergkamp, Henry & Lehmann - What a day that was! And we won 3 - 0 vs. Charlton! 8)

Most of you will have read about my "encounter" with Chippy so I'll say no more about it (you know you did wrong, chippy).

I've met Stapo, O'Leary, Grumpy Chippy, The Legend Bob Wilson, IWWW, Pearse O'Leary  , Pat Rice and Seamo. I saw Jeremie Aliadi-Useless in Club Level strutting along signing kids programmes without even looking at the kids or acknowledging their existence. The crunt. :(

Met the Legend Bob Wilson the morning before a match a few years ago. Had the missus with me but had left the camera in the hotel. Shook hands had a chat.

Then last season I bumped into him in a CL bar and asked if he'd mind posing for a photo. He remembered me and the missus from a couple years earlier and the fact I had no camera with me that day!!

A real gent. 8)

1987 and I was on holiday in Ibiza with a couple of mates ( 1 fellow Gooner and 1 Spud).

At the start of the second week, we were sitting by the pool when a bloke came up and asked if the beds next to us were free. "Fuck me its Martin Keown" my fellow Gooner friend said, a little too loudly.

Martin looked a little embarrassed but was OK with it. He bought us a couple of drinks and we sat and chatted for about an hour until he finally told us that he'd just signed for Villa the day before. We had no idea. Gutted.

Over the course of the week we bumped into him quite a bit and had a laugh and joke. I got a few photos of us all but I'm buggered if I know where they are now. A top memory for me and a top bloke. I was absolutely delighted when he re-signed for us and he's always been one of my favourites ever since.

Ive met a few, the ones thats stick in my mind are DD at wembley when we played the chapions league games there, didnt have a clue who he was (only about 12?) but my mates dad told us to get his autograph, nice bloke.

And the last year at Highbury on DB10 day my mates kid dressed up as a giant orange windmill and got picked out of the crowd to stay behind after. Saw loads of the players Gilberto walked past first and i turned into a little excited kid! And just shouted out BERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT! He turned round and stuck his thumb up! Didnt get to meet DB10 though which is a shame but i nicked loads of turf as we were leaving its still growing in my garden!! 8)

my story is really stupid , i was verry drunk at a nightclub . i saw a guy who looked a splitting image of ljungberg and he had a body guard and other people buzzing around him . i asked him for a autograph and as he was writing it i was telling him how much i love arsenal , too which he just gave me a strange look . i dont remember much else about the night but my gf told me the next day that "ljungberg"was actually a hollywood actor i think some bloke called stephen dorff and apparently i threw away the autograph in disgust after leaving the club .

another time i passed by pires on the road , i did the we are not worth bow , he smiled and gave a thumbs up . coincedentally i was actually wearing a pires jersey at the time .

In 1990 I was at primary school in Essex and my mum (being the headteacher of the school and knowing that my brother and I were massive gooners) arranged for Perry Groves to come to the school.

It was amazing, definitely the best day at school ever! He did a half-hour training session and a Q&A, he was there for a couple of hours in all. I had my full Arsenal kit on of course, and posed for photos (one of which was made into a poster for my wall)!.

Nice one Perry! Oh, and even before that I had written to him as a 9-year-old and he had written back with a signed photo with his own handwritten envelope !

In Jan 2000 I was on the train on my way back from visiting my girlfriend at the time.
As it pulled into Stevenage station I noticed a few guys in Arsenal tracksuits milling around and quickly realised it was the ENTIRE ARSENAL SQUAD getting on!
I asked the duty manager if I could go into 1st class to have my picture taken with some of the players and he went off to see if it was ok. A short while later he returned and said "Ok, youve got 5 mins and 1 photo"
I went through and had my picture taken with Vieira! You can see Kanu, Petits pony tail and Henry in the same photo. Just out of shot is a very moody looking Alex Manninger
I'll never forget it because it was a MONDAY and we were playing Sheffield WEDNESDAY on the TUESDAY! lol

Greatest moment ever......................

December 2nd 2006, beat **** 3-0 at Ashburton and immediately after i met my hero........Mr Dennis Bergkamp!!!!

I have his portrait tattooed inside my arm, so i got to show him, to which he said "oh cool!"

He signed my shirt, and i had picture taken with him, i shook his hand and told him how much of a legend he is, then as he walked off, i was just totally.........ummmmmm.......wow........hands on head............"Ive just met Dennis Fuckin Bergkamp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

As is turns out, my 10 year old cousin now goes to the same gymnastics class as Estelle Bergkamp (Dennis's Daughter) and has become very good friends with her. My Auntie (and my God do i hate her for this!!!!) had no idea who he was, but now texts me saying "Dennis held the door open for me tonight" etc etc etc!!!!!

Meeting Cesc and RVP was great too, here is a list of Arsenal players i have met..........

Dennis Bergkamp
Robin van Persie
Cesc Fabregas
Denilson
Emmanuel Adebayor
Emmanuel Eboue
Manuel Almunia
Theo Walcott
Kolo Toure
Gael Clichy
Mathieu Flamini
Alex Hleb
Justin Hoyte
Thomas Rosicky
Mart Poom
Lee Dixon
Alan Smith
Steve Bould
David Seaman
George Graham
Michael Thomas
Peter Marinello
Perry Groves
David Dein
Gunnersauras

Come to think of it, ive been fucking lucky really!!!!!!

Regards

Craig
