Time For Reality Mr Wenger

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For the love of christ does anybody seriously believe anybody that dared to contradict him or challenge him to remain at the club ?? FFS they would be out the door in a heartbeat so start laying the blame at wenger himself and the board who has given him a free rein and waaaay too much power  :banghead:

:x Until the heirarchy at club changes Wenger will be allowed to continue his quest for a homegrown youth team(funny how most of youth are from other clubs)just to be held as a martyr in the football history books.Wenger's refusal to splash in the transfer market and constantly getting into C/l (since move to the grove wenger's made £35,000,000 transfer profit)has delighted the board has it has pushed the shares up and so kept Arsenal has a attractive investment.

So until things happen upstairs we are stuck with Mr Wenger and no reality check is going happen unless we start sliding down the league, which would affect share prices AND then we might see some changes. :banghead:

re the TA as number 2 comment, i like vemalen but the defence is still shocking....so was he that wrong??

back to subject,
pre-season wenger again said judge me on this season in the summer (as im sure he has past 3 years) but when we fail to make a challenge for the big trophies will he be held to task at the end of the season by the fans??? and will he have the honesty to admit the failings and apologies for not giving it straight, and will he clear out those who are clearly not going to be ever good enough, and will he walk??????

if none of these happen same old shit will happen at arsenal until AW goes.

yes we all love him and he deserves infinity espect for what he did, but this doesnt mean he has free reign and is completly unaccountable for 5 years of decline?????????????

if either the yank or sausage fingers were in charge he would have got the chop by now.

also on eboue manhoods comments, please what is the point they are puerile and pointless and not funny and just put ppl off reading the threads he has posted on. mods can these be deleted?
(i appreciate one shouldnt really request deletion of others posts as its a free forum ,and as many on here probably want mine deleted for their negative and miserable nature but at least im putting an opinion across and not ruining threads with un funny ridculous posts. ppl enjoy posts going off topic if there funny or nsfw, but eboues manhoods post are neither of these, just random pointless jumbles of words)

I have the utmost respect for wenger for what he has achieved for the Arsenal but as the question says what reality is he in??

5yrs ago we where the invincibles but he has dismantled that side because of the age factor for 1 and rightly so in some cases prone to injuries BUT has not replaced like for like.Instead he has a blind ideology of producing a home grown title winning team, for which we now see ,what i think, are basically average squad players.

We can all see the deficiencies in the team and even the media have constantly pointed this out but Wenger stubbornly continues to avoid facing these deficiencies :banghead: and continues to persevere with what we see now.the board are walking a dangerous path by allowing Wenger to continue like this and i wonder when it's going end???

Dennis Bergkamp.

I think we all agree it's about taking club forward, whoever in charge...and that simply hasn't happened in last 5 seasons. To make things worse, decline's becoming obvious even to some of those die hard rosetinters...

Are we a big club? If answer is 'YES' then answer this question:

What 'BIG CLUB' would still keep manager in job after 5 trophyless seasons?

I'm afraid AFC nowadays is utterly average English Premier League club.

In last three visits to Emirates, ManUre and Chelsky have scored 10 (YES! TEN FUCKING GOALS) goals. That's simply embarrassing. It's not coincidence.

I accidentally started another thread yesterday about Wenger and for what it's worth I'll put it on here!

Listening to his post match comments yesterday made me cringe beyond belief. For all of the incredible things he's done for the club over the years, when he behaves like a kid who's just dropped his 99 on the floor, personally I reckon he embarrases the club.
To say Drogba 'only had 3 touches....' was just plain stupid. Our 'goal'? In the cold light of day you can see why it would and wouldn't be allowed.
I know he saw any remote hopes of the title sink yesterday but for God's sake Arsene have a bit more class.
Chelsea did a major job on us yesterday and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit it.
We were just not good enough. Simple as that.
