Sorry cus, but have to disagree mate.....

U2 USED to be a great band...in their early days...Now!, they're just a bunch of pretentious Tossers...and bono thinks he's the modern day jesus christ and is now more interested in his standing in the hall of who's feckin; who!..maybe he should volunteer to be crucified if he thinks he's that good...I'll get the nails and wood... ...and their music is now just clever, clever dicky stuff with no soul, passion or feeling, they only make records (cd's) for the sake of trying to be clever - what a load of shyte....they lost any street cred a Loooooooooooooong time ago.....

there are far Faaaaar better bands out there making and playing better music and gigs....like Kasabian, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Mid Lake to name but a few....

Neil Young may be an Old Git....But

a) he still makes excellent usic...is BRILLIANT! Live....
and
b) Doesn't take himself seriously...unlike U(borrrring) 2

French Band, with the lead singer Thierry Henry... Great music and fantastic control of the mic, especially when on the left... :barscarf:

ditto.

I also saw them play the astoria to a very small crowd in 2000 where they played all the old stuff. Majorly lost there way though.

i saw SLF a few years ago at Scunny Baths Hall and they were brilliant although it was a bit sad watching Bruce Foxton on the bass. Its a bit like playing for Arsenal one day and being sold to Hull the next. I am a massive Jam fan so i dont mean to diss SLF who were very good but not quite up there.

Foxton isn't with them anymore, one of their original bassists, Ali McCordie is back with them and is superb.
