Hmm... I smell an alter ego!Vlad III wrote:I reckon I could argue with it. I'm not reading it though, because Myles Palmer and excellent article do not belong in the same sentance. Unsuprisingly you lot agree with him

So who is Vlad?... My money's on Wayno!

There just cannot possibly be a human being on the face of the earth, that doesn't agree with you.

Doesn't agree with what?

You're post wasn't offering an opinion, was it? and I've not written anything for you to disagree with, have I?

You hadn't even read the article, yet you decided to criticise the forum members for commenting on it! - so obviously you were looking for an argument!

So clearly, you're a *word censored*!

Do I really need to read it? Shock me and tell me it's something positive about Arsenal. Please!
My guess is you won't. Myles Palmer is a joke of a writer and not even an Arsenal fan. Hence my comment on the previous page. Your probably right, I shouldn't have wasted my time commenting on it, but I'm pissed off with the absolute shit being written on here and all the other blogs I have seen today. I noticed the word protest in some posts and blogs and immediately just left the page. No Arsenal fan has any need to protest over anything. There are clubs about to go out of business and there are some utter cretins who want to protest about a team that has a realistic chance of winning the title?!?!?!? That really is beyond any sane persons comprehension.
So forgive me for butting into your thread slagging Arsenal. Please continue.

It's a forum mate, and you get negative and postive posters.Vlad III wrote:Do I really need to read it? Shock me and tell me it's something positive about Arsenal. Please!

You're right, it wasn't a positive article, but I thought there was a lot of truth in it, and I'm not a particularly negative poster on here, and I have no desire to see Wenger sacked either.
The article questioned how seriously Wenger coaches defence, and this is a huge concern of mine. I don't think we have a major personnel problem, but more a defensive deficiency that could surely be improved upon by proper coaching in the finer arts of defending as a unit, marking, tracking runners, positioning, etc. - I mean, you do seriously have to wonder how much time on the training field is dedicated to this, don't you??
This is such a talented squad, and I really think we would STILL score plenty of goals (and play entertaining football) even if we re-addressed the balance between defence and attack. We're naive and tactically a mess... our defensive record (37 league gls conceded last season, and 28 already this season) is bordering on unprofessional, in my opinion.
Wenger's job is to get the best out of this team, and I worry that he's not doing that due to a lack of defensive discipline and coaching. That's a concious decision that Wenger is making, and I just don't understand the logic behind it.
I should also add that people are generally more inclined to post negative comments on a forum, as it's there way of venting frustration and trying to sort through their concerns. This isn't needed when all is fine and dandy, so don't assume we're all critics of Arsenal.
Take you for instance... most of your posts make you come across as a sarcastic, intolerent and short tempered individual who like to moan and argue. So, it just shows that you're hardly coming across well, either.
There are ways to fight your corner, and put across your views, without coming across as a *word censored*... but that's your choice. We're not all schoolkids looking for an argument, and their are many (well... some) decent posters on here, so if hyou want to debate things, pick and choose who you reply to, and others will do the same with you.
Lets bury our head in the sand and pretend Project Arsene is going wellVlad III wrote:Do I really need to read it? Shock me and tell me it's something positive about Arsenal. Please!

So let me get this straight......this forum and every other blog you read today are writing negative stuff and is full of absolute shit so they are all wrong and you are the enlightened one here ?

Using the comparison with a club like portsmouth is typical of your type of arguement - we are not a small mickey mouse club with sweet fcuk all tradition cos We Are The Arsenal who are supposed to be one of the biggest clubs in europe and as such have higher ambitions and targets. Nobody has asked the club to throw around a ridiculous amount of money that would endanger the future of our club but we should at least expect the income generated from player sales to be used to bring in quality replacements. This board sold us a picture of what life would be like for the club when we moved stadium and to be brutally honest hans christian anderson must have written that fairy tale story cos it has been shown to be total bullshit and we are now paying top whack to a club that is surviving with average players and have no ambitions to improve on what we have got - if you cant see any of that then you need help mate

It is obvious we cannot defend well, but when Keown was teaching defence during champions leaguerun to final in 2006 we got to final with record amount of clean sheets in a defence with Flamini and Senderos in, so in my book we should bring back Keown to teach the defence.
Pat Rice is and has always been the defense coach.
Of course they work defensively. The problem is we're going forward too much.
