barcelona again
JFG
We cant hold on to them because of the clubs lack of ambition.4th place finish is seen as success. If TH14 had stayed at Arsenal would he have won a CL medal which a player of his greatness deserves.Cesc just needs to look around him and see the likes of Denilson Song Diaby Walcott Eboue Bendtner and Almunia and see he is not going to win titles at Arsenal
Cesc has given us 6 years of great service he owes us nothing

I wouldnt blame cesc if he left. Barca is the club of his youth.
Also he must see what we see, ofcourse he comes out and says all the right things in the press, he is our capt after all. However he must notice that his work load doubles when he is partnered with Denilson.
He is everything to Arsenal football club. We drop dopwn several levels when he is not on the pitch, this isnt good enough. he is an obviosu replacement for Xavi. Why wouldnt he play for his childhood club, under the stewardship of his hero Guardiola?
some people say, well he would just be another player at Barca, he is captain of Arsenal - like thats a good thing! He has the world on his shoulders at 22! He is leagues above everybody else in the team and he can see it.hed slot in nicely at Barca as Xavis replacement and would have all eyes on him leaving him free to play, playing with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and Ibrahimovic is a plus, not a negative!

You're probably right but if he keeps hearing this repeated, eventually he has got to give it some thought. We all hope it isn't for a long time yet but I think the combination of a) another potless season, b) a loud and public backlash toward AW from the fans, and c) a summer spent with his countrymen, could well see it being sooner rather than later.eDub wrote:although i am one who thinks that our Cesc will eventually go back to Spain (let's hope its not for a long time), i think all this talk is just the same ol' spanish presidential election gibberish... but it always sends chills up my spine when i see headlines like this.
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum of choice

i think he's a fantastic player but sometimes when we are losing or not playing well his body language seems to say "what the f#ck am i doing here with these jokers"
I could and would not blame him if he left.
honestly i think he might wait a couple more years until xavi is on the decline and then move when he is more likley to be first choice.
if we think the pressure from Barca is relentless now imagine what i would be like if xavi or iniesta left barca!

your spot on edub
the spanish presidential elections are in the summer. BOTH candidates have the signing of fabregas as their main election pledge (remember laporta pomised beckham a few seasons back, but ONLY got ronaldinho!!!)
expect the spanish gutter press to intensify the pursuit in the coming weeks and months.
