Been to several games in Germany & the standing areas are awesome & incredibly safe. Morecambe FC have introduced several standing areas of this sort at their ground too.

before the flair clashes with police with police being floored then chargin chelsea...

afterwards gooners starting fight

i think its got to the point the fans have realized how shit we are and what else is there to do!!!

loudest 2nd half ive ever been at (1st was standard...) after the flair smashing the metal boards and so on

never heard a louder " ooh to be a gooner..."

Yeah ther were a lot of fights.

i saw to people get nicked for pusing police men in one of the rumbles.

not great, after paying £50 and seeing us get pissed ova, was to much for some.

How did the crowd come across on TV!!!?

i hope there not gonna make us gooners look like bitter losers.

i saw something was thrown on the pitch which the ref took to the 4th assistant, not to mention the flare and police drama.

:D I agree, use to go to many bundesliga games when based in Germany, and lower league games, and the atmosphere is fantastic. You know you at the home sides ground with the banners, flags and flares but the main excitement was the constant singing.

The bundesliga sides have retractable seating so you can safely stand and it's done with the German H&S permission. The PC brigade over here won't let anything you get in Europe happen here as it would make us enjoy ourselves  and the clubs would have to drop there prices which wouldn't do would it!!!!.

I think someone threw a coin when Ashley came over in the first half.

As an oldie I feel as frustrated as most about the shit atmosphere's in every ground nowadays but, and I know I will be slaughtered for saying this, these threads hailing our fans do seem a bit lame :( Maybe I would feel differently if we still had a good team but right now it is like we have a shit team, a manager who cant see for shit, a board who dont give a fcuk so lets all cling onto the fans and proclaim them as the best ever.Maybe I am being harsh and if so I am sorry but right now I am in a very dark place with no light even in the distance :(

That's exactly why the atmosphere was so good today. Everyone knew we were going to lose. So we thought, fuck it lets just enjoy ourselves.

Yep. It seems a case of not expecting to get much joy from the team on the pitch, so banding together having a good laugh & a sing is the best way to have fun.

And the travelling Gooners came across very well on the TV :barscarf:

I totally agree with that sentiment and when I logged on here at ht a few members said that they basically laughed when the first goal went in cos we all knew we were not going to win :(
