If Portsmouth cease to exist...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I would never be able to bring myself to feel directly unhappy about s***s going bust. But i would be quietly sad to lose the NLD.

If we dont lose the 6pts from those 2 games that we won then I couldnt give a flying fcuk whether they go bust or not  I have no doubt that the twitcher is largely to blame but of course he will walk away with no smear on his rep at all :x

On a seperate issue isnt there a rule regarding how many loan players you can have in a season and at any one time ? Maybe I am wrong but half their fcuking team seem to be on loan from elsewhere :?

Could someone explain to me the following.

If a Football Club goes bust, can it be re-formed having the exact same badge, stadium and same name?

Yes i presume so if they buy the rights for the name and badge from its owners. Although im not sure what the law says in regards to trademarks of companies that go bust.

I think they have to register as a new name but can use the same stadium, kit design etc (Leicester Fosse --> Leicester City.... plus I'm sure it happened to Oxford or some other fairly small side in the 1980s)

Happened in N.Ireland last year were Derry City's holding company went bust or something and another group took them over. Thet have exactly the same name but have a new crest and same stadium. Confusing :? You would actually never know they went bust the way things have worked out.

What must the Wimbledon fans been thinking at the time? To be fair to MK Dons, they did give the replica of The FA Cup they won in '88 to AFC Wimbledon.

Cork City in Ireland, who produced Kevin Doyle and Shane Long, amongst others, folded today. Shame.
