I rate him very highly as a manger.....but, has he not taken the easy route?
YES winning the champions league with Porto was amazing, he put together a group of player on the cheap, won it, they became superstars, so did he.
But since?
He joined the chelski revolution which had already spend record amounts, everyone expected them to challenge for a titile(why do you thing ranieri was sacked). He came in spend a good few more million (he was allowed to piss £30mil on shevchenko down the drain, who else had that luxuray?) on players totalling around £150million. He won the league twice. Then the budget is cut and what happens....moan moan moan, dont win the league, your sacked.
Credit, he won Chelsea trophies for 1st time in a long time, but spent massive amounts.
Inter......They've taken a step back scince he took over, mancini won the league every year he was in charge if im not wrong, so jose hasn't done better, if his team get through to next round i'll be surprised.
Moriniho at Arsenal>....cop on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jose Mourinho will be next United manager in my opinion, he's set his heart on it. I've heard on various Podcasts that Darren Ferguson has been spending a lot of time with him in Milan during international breaks and at Christmas as well, don't know what the heck that's all about.
...you can all go back to hating Jose again then!

Don't you miss him being in English football though? I do. Even when he was at Chelsea I admired him, just because he manages a team you don't like doesn't mean you have to hate him.
Look at Liverpool under Souness. I DETEST that football club with a passion but still really liked the manager.
If Mourinho managed Arsenal when he first came to England and not Chelsea (for argument's sake), would you have disliked him then?

Agree totally.Monostich wrote:I've always admired the guy, he's a born winner. He is honest in interviews, funny, intelligent, passionate; he's got it all.

Actually the first time I saw him interviewed, during the 2 legs against United in 2004, I thought to myself 'he's made to manage Arsenal!!!' I love all the 'whole world is against us' attitude and it was reminiscent of Arsenal in the Graham days.Monostich wrote: He's made to manager United!

To answer the original question, I don't know if Mourinho is the best manager in the world - but he's certainly up there.

What and Wenger never moans?brazilianGOONER wrote:moaninho is a WINNER, which makes it very easy to see why monoslops like him.
its like a WINNING society or something like it. i would really enjoy seeing moaninho in manure, because its one more reason to hate the WINNERS

I've edited your silly post to what you're actually thinking as well

i agree with you, moaninho and manure have similar styles - they are both shit without money and love throwing it in the air, specially when it does not belong to them.Monostich wrote:What and Wenger never moans?brazilianGOONER wrote:moaninho is a WINNER, which makes it very easy to see why monoslops like him.

How much money had we spent when we won the European Cup in 1968? How much money had we spent when we won all of them league titles in the 1900s and early 90s? What about all of them FA Cups as well?brazilianGOONER wrote: they are both shit without money
Mourinho had feck all money at Porto yet still won the Champions League, something Wenger hasn't been able to do, even though you've got all these "amazing kids".
You don't half talk some bollocks.
