Dear Stoke...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Until the media cease this "Arsenal cant handle the physical approach bullshit" then teams like stoke are always going to rough us up and invaribly cross the line somewhere along the line. Either that or we have to man up and start breaking a few opposition legs then we'll see what the media have to say
Exactly my thoughts but knowing the media they will be out for us if we did. Eduardo dives and he is a cheat but Gerrard and Rooney dive and they are english

This will be short as after that tackle don't feel like posting really so....it again shows the out dated tactic's and style are still used by prehistoric managers in the P/L today and these managers are in the media's and pundits view praised? The ''Little club charter'' comes in to protect them from being criticised and pointed out that there style doesn't belong in probably the top league in the world.

As in other threads the media and so-call pundits have to shoulder some of the blame for that tackle today as there advocate the ''in there face'' attitude against us when there should be promoting ,how should i say it our style, but that will never happen while you have failed footballers like Collymore, cundy etc as pundits who think the likes of 70's and 80's style still has a place in todays game.

Thats enough from me,heads in a bit of spin but hope Aaron gets well soon and is back to his old self again.

The stoke fans are moron's shouting out 'scared cockneys' as we walked away from the ground,i had fallen a bit behind my crowd and was on the phone to look up at 4 or 5 middle aged stoke morons crowding around me telling me i needed a smack. They went quiet and walked on soon enough when a dozen or so arsenal lads asked them if they had a problem,so to those lads who i have no idea who ya are, cheers for saving me from a head kicking from a bunch of angry old northeners :D

Media must take a hell of a lot of blame here imo. How often have we heard the shit about Arsenal not being able to handle the tough, physical midlands/northern clubs?

Bolton, Blackburn and now Stroke, when the media fill the players heads full of the idea that it is alright to go in hard on Wenger's teams just because they can't take the rough stuff, then that is what teams will do.

Clubs think, alright so Arsenal "don't like it up 'em" and just feel they can batter away at our team as if it is almost expected and the press/media will write glowing reports about their ability to silence Arsenal.

Diaby, Eduardo and now Rambo show that there is an agenda against the Arsenal and that it is OK to kick us off the pitch. Dare to say if Man Utd got this heavy handed approach, then there would be total uproar against the guilty team in question.

A lot of people are saying Shawcross was devastated but the best way for me to compare it is, some form of criminal will carrying on commiting crimes until he gets caught, the day he gets caught and gets sent down for 10 years is the day he will show tears. Shawcross has always been a dirty player, you could tell he wanted to put a big challenge in on cesc.
