PORTO CL THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

With that line up and Arshavin in his preferred position lying behind the striker, I'd say 3-1 but we have to score first and not give away sloppy goals, so hope Silvestre is watching the game from the comfort of his armchair at home.

Anyone fancy meeting up for a quick pint before the game? Also, any decent ale pubs about, preferably with fit bar maids, or is that asking too much?

I'm up in the air like a tarts legs after a babycham on this one TBH!

Heart says we will win it. Head says; with (probably) no Cesc, this will be a struggle. If we concede an early goal our heads will drop... Christ, I wish both Cesc and Sol were fit for this one.

Fuck it - I'm going with a 3-1 win for the Gunners! Two from AA23!! :barscarf:

I'm up for a pint, no idea where to go though - look at Sami's thread.

I would not be surprised for it to finish 2-1 in normal time and for Arsenal to score 1 or two to make it through in extra time. I don't see it going to penalties.

Couldnt believe what i saw in Porto, they have to one of the poorest teams in Europe i have seen this season, second only to Celtic. 3-0 win to the Arse we will be far to powerful for them to cope with, with or without Cesc :barscarf:

we'll probably be without cesc, so we'll surely be in trouble. hope not to get early goal

Im bricking it for this tie :( Without cesc we will struggle to score and with Theo being our only slight inform attacker and defenders returning who may not be fully fit Im not too confident at the moment
COME ON ARSENAL!

I feel the same way for this one. I'm not confident we'll keep a clean sheet in any game this season, which ideally we do on Tuesday night. That said you have to feel we are capable of scoring 3 or more goals against a pretty unimpressive Porto outfit at home.

Another 3-1 victory to the Arsenal!

Still crapping, though.
Game is on here at 8.30am on Wednesday (it's 3pm on Monday here now), so I won't even be able to get pissed before hand. :banghead:
