you can tell were in the title race...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Projoe, I'm a silver member, and probably a "glory hunter" by your reckoning.

The fact is, I can only afford to go to about 10 home games a season otherwise my Mrs shouts at me and doesn't let me put my penis in her. I've been to CL qualifiers this season, shit games like Birmingham and Stoke, and I've also been to a few class games. Having been a club member for longer than you allows me this freedom. It sucks, but I had 9 years of people cherry picking games in front of me, so now I get to do it :?

Btw, I go to the last game of the season whenever I can anyway :barscarf:

it has to be said theres an awful lot of silver members that are just glory hunters who only want to go to matches when were on a high. when the team is going through a tough patch they wont get a ticket. whereas, im a red member, and i go to nearly every game even if were going through a tough time. i just think this is something arsenal should maybe look at, so the real fans get more of an advantage.

rant over
I thought only we had glory hunters?
more than any other club in the world yes mate.

 the irony of needing your team to draw or maybe even loose so you can get tickets to support them live

I'd imagine there are more 'glory hunters' in red level membership than Silver. Silver members have been signed up for longer. It would also be the case that they'll be surge in demand from Reds to get tickets for the final games.
not necessarily. a junior gunner (16-) becomes a silver member instantly, so can be a junior gunner for 1 month then suddenly becomes a silver. i just think red members that go to every game, like myself, should get rewarding in some way.

ive been to nearly every home league game this season, including suffering through chelsea and man utd, but now i cant get 1 when it really matters :banghead: a silver member going to fulham might not have been all season, but suddenly turns up to see us lift a trophy potentially, doesnt sounds very fair to me :(

also, final game of last season against stoke there were loads of tickets available, i wonder why that is  :banghead:
Right a letter to club telling them this and they'll upgrade yo to silver.

talking of the Silver waiting list, how do we Red members find out when we're to become Silver members?

On a side note, I too find it annoying that all of a sudden there is a step up in interest, however, if people can only afford to go to say 5-10 games a season, and they know that they get first dibs, then they'll be bound to wait for the big games surely!

Don't think you can find out when, as i've tried many times. All they tell you is your waiting list position

FFS

I was a "red member" (formerly a "TRS Waiting list member") at Highbury for a good 5/6 years. Red Members at Highbury get more access to games EVERY SEASON than I did in those 5 years at Highbury. Deal with it.

you mean the Grove...

Personally i can't see what the fuss is about. If you really want to tget to games, make friends at the games you attend early in the season, on here other places or even chance a trip to surrounding boozers on match day you can usually and nearly always get yourself in to see the game.

This whole class based ideology that being a silver is better than red, a ST is better than silver. , club better than ST. However you look at it, your shit stinks too.

Surely that should be some indication? Is that on the online account anywhere?

They come out with the same crap everyyear about it being on the online account to view your position, but its never on there, the best you'll get is the ST waiting list position

Yeah, meant the Grove. Gets on my tits that people who've only been a member of the club in the years since the invincibles suddenly think they have a right to any tickets they desire, yet call people who've been around longer glory hunters. Makes no sense.

I got plenty of tickets as a red member at the Grove :?

Plenty of top posts here. Try and get tickets through the arsenal or on our wonderful 'wanted/for sale' section and then if that fails you, network with people in the pubs and that. Never had problem getting tickets really... Having said that, watch as my luck runs out with me jinxing it

i agree the memberships should be decided upon a mixture of time and ticket purchases not just time
