Team of the season?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Good shout Milner, he's been good apart from his assist for our 2nd at the Grove (which was lovely!)

Augie, I'm Israeli, I want Yossi to do well as much as anyone, but with the form that he and his team are suffering, he could never be in the team of the season.

Or I didn't understand the joke or something?

Schwarzer

Ivanovic
Dunne
Verminator
Naked txt cheat

Valencia
Fletcher
Cesc
AA

Rooney
Drogba

AA over Bellamy because AA had to play out of position as a striker and still produced while injured at the same time. Bellamy has never lead the City line tho he is a striker.

If I could make a solid arguement for arshavin I would cos I think the guy is a little genius but sadly for a combination of reasons (mostly being asked to be a lone 5ft 4" centre forward  ) I dont believe his performances merit inclusion :(

DanielD, people talk about gerrard or torres when it comes to those thieving scousers but for me your guy has been the one that has dragged them along when they were struggling badly and he has chipped in with a few crucial goals from midfield. Tbh I am not even sure I rate the guy that highly as a footballer but on his form this season I think he has earned his place

My reason would be because he held his own as a stand-in striker(target man at 5ft 7)
He played there even through injury and now he is back and playing injury free on the left, he has scored 2goals in 2 league games, single handedly destroyed Porto and will only get better from here till the season end.

I'll just be critical as I agree with most posts so far
Andrei - nope, not enough so far
Donovan???! is that a joke, he's been on loan for ten minutes
Yossi - a couple of decent games nothing more
Modric - average season at very best, he's got ability but hasn't shown it
Essien - imo maybe the leagues best player but hasn't been fit long enough
Fletch - nope, was way better last year, his best games have only been at OT whilst wearing his yellowproof coat of refinvisibility. This year Cattermole or Cana are no dirtier (some of the leagues filthiest) and have played better
VDS hasn't impressed in this in and out season
Friedel
Ivanovic Dunne Verminator Evra (CuntleyCubt really but can't bring myself to say it - thank fuck he's injured)
valencia song cesc malouda
rooney drogs

If we are claiming the first shout for Milner then perhaps you should read the actual topic starter? :)
