Fair play we were lucky to have them, 1917-1918 1941-1945.
Oh shit we started in 1914 and 1939. The yanks must have forgotten the invitation to the party.

Not likely RaM! The Septics won the second world war all by themselves y'know. And WWI. And The Gulf war. And Waterloo. And Agincourt.
It's a bit like a mate of mine that was in the US Army. He always gives out shit about the Marine Corp because they are the biggest historical revisionists in the world. A Marine will tell you they fought at Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Fallujah etc but fail to mention the US Army were fighting there too. The Septics are a bit like that in general...

dont forget D-Day, steven speilberg sez that 'Merican's did that all by themselves!
To be fair, the beach scene was accurate, omaha beach was all americans, as was utah, gold and sword were the british beaches, with the canadians taking juno beach.

When the Irish make a quality show themselves I'm sure they can put their own army in whatever scenes they'd like...OH WAIT

Yeah... we're not as fond of going around invading countries as you septics are... shame on us.
We also don't have a penchant for accidently killing our allies in large numbers either! Blue on blue! BLUE ON BLUE!!!

Officially the Septics lose more men in combat per 100 soldiers than any of its 'allies'. The sheer fact that they also KILL less per amount of 100 rounds of ammunition says it all. In fact they fire more rounds than anyone else, hit less than anyone else and lose more soldiers than anyone else. Nothing can be proved, but i sense that gung ho attitudes to war and the fact the Septics are poorly trained may well account for all of this.
I shall watch The Pacific for one reason, to see how accurate the film makers are. The battles of Midway, Iwo Jima and Okinawa for me HAVE to be accurate...if they are at all 'Hollywoodised' then i shall watch no further than tonight's two episodes.

Hmmmm not quite sure i want to skip Iwo Jima now...Battle of Guadalcanal was pretty much spot on. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what medal Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone was awarded after being spoken to by Lieutenant Colonel Lewis "Chesty" Puller in the trench?

No, I actually read mostly military and historical non fiction. And porn. For "read" I mean "Spank the monkey blind to" where porn is concerned.
