It's our chance to pretend we're top class :barscarf:  (before playing a genuine top team like Barca, ManUre and Chelsea, and realise you're not as good as you thought you were    )

I just hope they back off and give us the time and space to play out trademark beautiful football 8)
Any chance of an amnesty till the summer, if you read my posts you'll know I'm no rosetinter but the negativity is getting depressing around here.

I am no AW defender but FFS, Barca had Messi, a £70million pound Ibrahimovic not to mention others. United have two bit part players(Nani and Anderson) that cost nearly £40million pounds. CSKA London were assembled with half a billion of dodgy petro-dollars. We are not in the same class as those 3 teams because in the last 3 years they have seriously out spent us and we have not got enough experience to fight it out with them.

There's no point saying we should have held on to this player and that as most of the oldInincibles have been shite since they left us.

We've got what we've got for the next 5-6 weeks, best make the most of it. Come the summer if we don't get the right changes then it's gloves off time. But for the next few weeks lets pretend we're the best team in the world. It might rub off on some of our dross....f'ing hope it does.

At the end of the day the Premier League represents our best chance of silverware. Not playing the likes of Nasri from the start in a way backfired last week and I would not make the same mistake again.

I'd play a full strength team - then take guys off accordingly as we score goals 5, 6 and 7 :barscarf:

T.G. Excellent post and well said.

We should win say 2-0 Saturday and hopefully rest players. I am still sure we have a excellent chance for the title, so let's hope so.

As mush as AW frustrates the hell out of me sometimes, it would be pretty amazing if we won the title. Considering our injury list this season and recent spending power...!!!

:D

i think it will be tougher than a lot of people think. with all the injuries we now have, and the fact that wolves are in good form and playing some decent stuff. doyle holds the ball up well for them, so the defence will need to concentrate for a change. if we go 1-0 up, weve got to go for 2,3,4,5 or they could make us pay.

ill go for a 3-1 win, in a tight, nervy game with another late goal or 2 :barscarf:

Wolves have only missed the target in 5 of their 16 away games in the league this season. They were against Liverpool, United, Chelsea & City (& Bolton).

They've scored 2 goals or more on 6 occasions away from home.

They held an Everton side to 0-0 draw recently, an Everton side who have only been kept to a clean sheet 3 previous times away from home (two of those against Liverpool and United).

Wolves are clearly at the top of their game at present and fighting to remain in the league.

We've won our last 4 home matches in the league and kept a clean sheet in 3 of them.

If we start with a positive attitude (and not lack-lustre as in previous outings after the Champions League) then will we overpower Wolves.

Verdict: Home win

3-0

average al; eboué, sol, verminator, traoré; song, nasri, denilson; walcott, bendtner, rosicky.

while we still have a chance, we MUST come with our strongest squad possible. i'd only rest clichy and diaby, who looked off the pace.

To stand chance of winning the Premier League:
Wolves
Spurs
Wigan
Man City
Blackburn
Fulham

To win the Champions League:
Barcelona
Inter Milan (probably)
Inter Milan (probably)
Man Utd (probably)

Normally I'd have said we'd rest players, but I have to agree that the Premier League still represents the best chance of a trophy so Arsene won't risk playing the reserves.... I would start with Eduardo, and maybe play Silvestre at the back (OMG!) but apart from that I think it'll be full strength!!

tbh, im not conviced inter or utd will go through

cska could get a 1-0 or 2-0 in moscow, i reckon they would have taken 1-0
away if offered it

man u looked the weaker side and they will be weaker still, where as bayern will be stronger.

but i think we will get beaten in barcelona anaway
