Ahaaaa well...a solution to b is to wear some right rank toecheese smelly socks when you tread the grapes.....to add just a touch of flavour!I Hate Hleb wrote:Now I know bugger all about cultivating but my brother-in-law gave my father a vine (? small tree-looking thing) a couple of years backs and last summer it grew loads of grapes that were small but very sweet. Alas we ending up throwing a lot of it away.
Problems encountered were:
a) keeping the birds and insects away from them
b) converting the grapes into something drinkable.
