So
anything is fair game due to it being the internet? Fair enough!!!
Considering some of the stuff i seen on the internet, i'd say yes
It is abit hypocritical people getting offended by this when there was a 5 page long thread about that Indian Goalkeeper where people were making jokes about Indians.

What was offensive about making puns on indian food and names?
Anyway as long as we all know your rules now

hehe, i'm sure some people would find the stereotypical corner shop joke offensive

Maybe they would but puns on names arent are they? Anyway if we are playing by the rules that Anne Frank jokes (the thing CC was refering to earlier) are removed then surely there are some rules on here.

Were there five pages of offensive jokes in the indian thread or was it just the corner shop one CF? Your post suggests the food puns/names could be construed as offensive?
Jokes about names are reasonably cross-culture. I don't think the Welsh or Russian contingent would be offended by Ivor Bigun or Ivana Tinkle jokes.
If you wanted to boil down those five pages to a singular post then why mention the entire thread? If somebody found the names/puns offensive then I for one would have stopped posting.
If you can't see why Sami's language could be taken as an insult then that is fair play to you. I find it offensive though.
The important thing for a forum like this is the reaction of the poster once it has been pointed out that offence has been taken. Once it was mentioned that somebody found the post disrespectful then the reaction of the original poster is critical. It looked like Samis didn't want to quit.

The bottom line is that Jews recognize Christianity as a bonafide religion with a clear moral code.
Whilst there have obviously been conflicts between the faiths, both physical wars and theological intellectual conflicts (which occasionally pop up to this day), there is no point motivating further dissent between the two faiths.
It is clearly stated in Jewish thought that Christianity is for Christians, Judaism is for Jews and that's just the way of the world.
I think Sami's age should be taken into account when considering the thread, and provision for an apology made, as I do not think he intended to insult anyone.
(Anyway, for what it's worth I thought it was widely believed amongst scholars and men of high learning that Dennis Bergkamp could walk on water without the aid of hi tech shoes?)
