Cesc will now never be an Arsenal great, terrible career mov

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fucking hell, the kids a genius, he'd walk on to any team in the world. :banghead:
Given he's one of the top 10 players in the world, the last statement is a given

For me personally,if he does leave,he'll go down as a legend.

Love watching him play-sees passes that nobody else does.

Like somebody mentioned earlier, have followed him from when he first came over from Barca and without doubt is my favourite player.

Love the passion he plays with(remember the time against Leverkusen he confronted Ballack at Highbury or his face when he scored those goals against the **** and Villa this season).

Be sad if he does go,because i feel, for the first time under Wenger,we'll be letting a player go that will ultimately go on to be the worlds best.

Do you need to win trophies to qualify for legendary status?

Just saying a lot of it is how he is perceived by the fans who stand(well, sit)on the terraces, and i'd say to many he is considered a legend at Arsenal, fuck me,to put up with some of the crap he's been partnered with he is a legend for not going earlier!!

He is a class above the rest at Arsenal, his cameo against Villa this season off the bench and THAT goal against S*urs this season just goes to show what we will miss,he has finally added the only facet to his game he was missing this season, and that is scoring goals,he can picks out passes no one else does and has captained the team with great maturity for someone so young,so i think in years to come he will be considered a legend when we look back, just a shame he wasnt furnished with players who were on a similar wavelength, like most of our bygone legends.

John Jenson acheived more while at the club. As did Selly, Hughes, Hillier, the list goes on.

He's no legend.
By that dodgy criterion then neither is Liam Brady, who won exactly the same as Cesc!!!

I agree that the term "legend" gets thrown around too easily, but Cesc Fabregas IS and ALWAYS will be an Arsenal Legend. I can't believe some of the posts on this thread, you people should be ashamed of yourselves! Fabregas gave everything to this club including his heart and talent! If his time is up at our club then so be it, but I don't wanna see people turn on him.

A truly pathetic post from someone who obviously knows very little about the current state of affairs at the club.

Quite simply Cesc was not happy with the lack of meaningful signings lined up this Summer. Like him we all know what is required.

If Arsene is not prepared to address the obvious areas of weakness we will continue to win nothing and not surprisingly that doesn't appeal to Cesc.

Cesc can see that the squad is way short. If arsene can't see that then we are in for many more comparitively barren years.

It is likely now that players such as RVP and Arshavin will follow.

Wake up Arsene before it really is too late.

The Europa league is beckoning.

If the club had any sort of spine they'd tell him to shut his fucking mouth, remind him that he has 4 years left on his contract and that there's no way in hell they're gonna sell him. If he's unhappy, fuck him. No one forced him to sign the contract. I don't think he'll play like shit on purpose, he's too professional to do that, but if he did anyway, send him to the reserves and see how he enjoyes playing with Conor Henderson and Emmanuel Frimpong.

He is a legend, because his quality is way above the rest of the team. And that is why he needs to go - to a club he loves, and where he will be comparable company. It is unrealistic to expect him to stay in a side he often has to carry. good luck to him. Wenger's luck has run out, his eccentricity has caught up with him.

There a lot of people suggesting that Cesc won't get into the Barca starting 11! Bollocks he is the best player of his type in the world, he showed just how good he is in the euros, when he was Spain's best player. At just 21 and making cameo appearances.
Cesc wiil be the star midfield player of the world cup, because he will have good players around him, like he will at Barca and not the shite he plays alongside at Arsenal.
