It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Can I have your IP address?
Yep, it's switched on all the time (it's a mini-server which hosts all my porn videos ) All you need to do is install SSH (here if your home PC is Windows, it should already be there if it's Linux, or enable "Remote Login" service on Mac OSX) and remember the IP address. If your IP changes constantly (ie, if you use cheap shitty ADSL), register a dynamic address at http://www.dyndns.com/ and SSH onto that instead. Oh, and you need to forward the port for SSH (22) to whichever PC you have set up as your SSH server on your router (www.portforward.com) for more info.
And even if you knew my IP, you would never guess my username and password
And yes, I'm supposed to be working while I'm at work, but I have two screens, one for watching football, one for forums

Username and password was the next question!
My laptops not on but this could be useful in future!
I could use the IP address of the PS3 as they both share the same router.
The PS3 is on 'standby' but it constantly recieving a signal from the router.

Glad to see banking sector showing signs of recovery and starting to return to solid investment policies !!!

If I told you, I'd have to kill you (You'd probably kill yourself if you ever ventured into my "Extreme" folder anyway )
Don't think the PS3 will work as it doesn't have an SSH server (unless you've somehow hacked it?)
Laptop is definitely the best way! Assuming you have windows, go to start > run > cmd <ok> then ipconfig to find out your ip address and default gateway. Your gateway is your router address, so copy the full address (normally something like 192.168.1.1) into your browser configure port forwarding on that (forwarding port 22 to the ip address of your laptop).
Bear in mind that if your laptop battery runs out, or it drops off the network, you're fooked

Yes, the green shoots of recovery are slowly revealing theirselves.

Ta!
I knew the IP bit but thanks.
Will have to look into PS3 otherwise it could be time to fire up the laptop!
Alway like to stay ahead of the 'Fun police'.
He still hasn't found VCL as it's so small......and I placed it on the server!
