I used to go to the Greek Islands in September. Still hot, crowds have mostly gone and rates start to drop too.
Either fly to Athens and get a ferry to one of the Islands in the Cyclades group or fly to one of the larger ones directly, for example Crete.
There are tons of destinations to choose from and the mainland is incredibly beautiful, especially the Pelloponese in the south.

Anyway, I can recommend Malta!!

Usually stay at the Buggiba, not really any good beaches down that way though, St Pauls bay is rather rough..
If you want the best beaches on the Island head down to Melliah Bay, amazing place.
But if you want THE best, head down to the blue lagoon in Comino.

The best option is to rent. I've rented an Apartment for September in Costa Adeje with all the English channels so geraldine can watch her soaps, a happy wife is a happier husband





I was hoping that Merson could watch a few of the Arsenal games with me
