I used to go to the Greek Islands in September. Still hot, crowds have mostly gone and rates start to drop too.
Either fly to Athens and get a ferry to one of the Islands in the Cyclades group or fly to one of the larger ones directly, for example Crete.
There are tons of destinations to choose from and the mainland is incredibly beautiful, especially the Pelloponese in the south.

Ive been to Malta 15 times

Usually stay at the Buggiba, not really any good beaches down that way though, St Pauls bay is rather rough..

If you want the best beaches on the Island head down to Melliah Bay, amazing place.

But if you want THE best, head down to the blue lagoon in Comino.

Stunning!

It is. The summer's hottest place to be.

But next year's cool resort will be Barnstaple, but please keep it quiet, we don't want all the riff raff to spoil it.

Tenerife is good that time of the year, depending on what type of holiday you want choose your resorts carefully. Costa Adeje is nice (but quiet) stayed there in a real posh hotel a few years ago with my wife

Rich Bastards in their posh Hotel

The best option is to rent. I've rented an Apartment for September in Costa Adeje with all the English channels so geraldine can watch her soaps, a happy wife is a happier husband

I was hoping that Merson could watch a few of the Arsenal games with me :barscarf:
