DB10, is there no way you can move ppls posts into the other threads so their points dont get lost in locked threads?

The posters themselves can copy and paste them into other threads, Big_G. Unfortunately we mods cannot. Sorry.

That would be a start, not that im in any way technologically able to see how it can be done!!

Its just frustrating a) writing a decent reply to a decent post from Augie and seeing it locked
b) seeing threads that have no relation to Arsenal stay up, which is initself fine, but not if proper Arsenal threads are to be locked.
c) we often have double threads, it never seems to cause a massive issue as long as it doesnt get way out of hand - 2 different cesc threads doesnt constitute that surely


Cesc had one thread on the page, which wasnt linked to his comments today - locking the thread ruined it, and has fucked up this place now.

ok, not a problem, just i started a new thread on a forum which disappeared and my post plus 2 replies had been moved to a related thread...

While I agree that the captaincy thread could have been left open I have to say that the constant moaning by some members about threads being locked is very very childish How is it that most people that have threads locked on here can accept it (some even apologise for starting another thread) but some (and I ant talking about swale only here) feel victimised by this ?

Can you not just re-open the thread as i would much rather have many threads on different issues rather than one massive cesc thread that changes subject every 5 pages.

Makes it alot easier to comment and get opinions.

Cesc had one thread on the page, which wasnt linked to his comments today - locking the thread ruined it, and has fucked up this place now.

There is about 5 or 6 cesc threads...and the reason they keep going down the list is the number if repeat threads on different things, shit threads, or new threads being opened up on a topic that is alread being discussed elsewhere .

Exactly the point. Im not going to get tarnished as a trouble maker, a whiner, or anything else when all ive done is contribute to a thread - how can we express our anger at this when the thread is locked?

Locking it was a fuck up that had led to all this nonsense -and it wasnt even a repeat thread.

hardly maknig a workload heavier is it? the cesc threads are old, out of date and not on the same page, and very hard for a poster to get their views and opinions across - which is the point of this place.

Whether the posts are on an old thread from months ago, or a new one, you still read the same things.

What makes your workload harder is the threads that have nothing to do with Arsenal that go on forever with the usual crew having their daily love in! I have no problem with it at all, but not to the detriment of good threads

and if you had specific issues regarding Cesc in different threads, they too would go in different directions meaning you have the same problem - and more threads - therefore other threads go down the list very quickly and get lost.

One last time...

If we leave open every new Cesc thread or even that one it will soon run to 10 pages of basically the same stuff on the other open one or two or whatever. Then someone looks down the pages and posts on the older thread. Great. Now two (or more) threads open, each 10 pages long, all the same stuff more or less and we mods have to read it all.
