i'm not really much of a wine man, beer and whisky are what really floats my boat. but i guess you can't go to italy and france and not have a few glasses of wine, so...

Best cities ive been to are Rome, Vegas then New York in that order, ive been to loads of cities around the world but these are the top. Ive been to Maastricht in Holland with work a few times too, its a fucker of a place to get to i normally fly to Brussels and then hire a car and drive to it. Im normally there on my own or with workmates but if anyone gets a chance to go its a really nice place to take a girlfriend/wife bars on the river and gets really warm in summer. I love Holland in general id move there tomorrow if i had work there and my wife could leave her family

Its quite expensive bG and with the exchange rate £-Euro everywhere in Europe is expensive to be honest. Not sure how works for your currency but save as much as you possibly can before you travel over mate

for me it's a lot more expensive, flash. for example, a good meal in a very nice restaurant in brazil is around 10 pounds at most, and a bus ticket won't cost more than 80p. lunch at a good all-you-can-eat buffet will cost around 5 pounds and a pint of local lager will go for 1-2 pounds in local pubs... and obviously, wages are equally lower...

i've been saving money for almost two years now, and the only reason why i managed to change my plans from only september to three months between april-june 2011 is because i'll be leaving my job, so will have a few bucks to receive and some good comissions from this year's sales.

the worst thing is that i'll spend a few weeks in scandinavia too, which seems to be even more expensive than britain or central europe :?

i don't know the meaning of having extra money for two years now, just to do this trip. i've been saving half my wages since then. but i'm quite sure it will be very worthwhile, though :D

wow its gonna hit you hard then bG but im sure you'll have an amazing time. Hopefully i'll get to meet up with you when you get to London for an Arsenal game. Ive heard scandanavia is very expensive £8 or £9 a pint or something, never been myself but heard it.

There are loads of places in Europes i can recommend but not sure where you are travelling to. What countries you looking at? Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium?

i'll try to cover as much ground as i can, as i don't know how long it will take me to get all that money together again  so basicaly, as it stands, my idea is this:

the trip will be 1 month in the UK (which is basicaly london plus 5-6 days in scotland and 5-6 days in ireland plus somewhere else in england for maybe an away game), then belgium (2-3d), netherlands(3-4d), denmark (3-4d), sweden (5d), norway (10d), finland (3d), germany (10d), switzerland (4d), italy(5d) and france(5d), not necessarily in that order (even though it makes sense, and so far it's how i'll go).

that adds to around 80 days, and i'll have 90, so the rest is for extra days wherever i find it to be necessary and most interesting, like rome or paris or wherever...

oh and yeah, i'd love some recomendations :) all i know is what i read from a few books i bought and websites like wikitravel

this place is by far the most beautiful landscape in brazil in my opinion, and quite close to where i live (around 100 miles). it's called "parque aparados da serra", a place with around half a dozen canyons:
