The last one that really excited me was the signing of Sol. I just stared at the telly and thought, "You mad bastard..."

I couldn't believe he had the chongos to make the switch, but I was delighted he joined us. And to get one over on the scum like that? Cream on the fucking cake, my friends. CREAM ON THE FUCKING CAKE. 8) 8) 8)

Er, he wasn't the only one that was excited about Theo.

Was also excited about the Reyes signing back in '04. But look at how that turned out  :banghead:

I got very excited when we signed Jose Antonio Reyes, I had just witnessed him destroy Real Madrid whilst a Seville player and I expected him to be a world beater once he had got used to the rigours of the English game.

Proves what I know.

(I also nearly came the day we signed Bergkamp)
Are you Cashley.. ??? :? :? :?

Nearly 7 years !! Too long Arsene Too Long
Yes, I remember being excited by his signing, then I saw him play.. :? :? :? Bottle job..

I was pretty excited when we unveiled Rosicky a few years back.

I'm not a huge follower of European football but he was one player I had a decent knowledge of mainly being impressed by his showings against us for Prague and Dortmund. I guess a combination of injury and being fucked out to the left wing has put paid to any chances of him having a memorable career at Arsenal. But he'd still be in my first choice fully fit XI.

After that and more embarassingly, Walcott for sure and Diaby. With both turning down Chelsea to come here I had a good vibe that they could develop well over a few years but Mr Wenger has certainly fucked up any chance of that happening.

I was quite excited about Arshavin's arrival tbh, but before that, errrrrr Sol Campbell...

The reason for this is, we buy players who are not big stars 8)

If we went out and brought Messi, Kaka, David Villa or Ronaldo in lucrative deals for example, these would be seen as incredible moments, but signing some 17 year old budding talent for the future, no huge excitement really...something we have endured for a while, we want some exciting transfer moments again
