Jack must not be loaned out

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sorry Reb, but is he staying or going out on loan? I hope he's staying :barscarf:

Great performance by him in the Ems Cup this weekend - I reckon the crossbar is still shuddering from that volley he hit. One slight criticism; he hangs onto the ball a little bit too long. I don't know if that's over confidence, or just trying too hard to impress, but he'll have to stop that if he gets a chance in the big games.

I hope he isn't wasted going on loan to another team. He deserves better, and we'll end up with another Bentley if we keep fucking him about sending him on loan.

Btw, off topic, but who lifted the Ems Cup today? :?

Its over confidence and inexperience really. It would be curious to see how he proceeds in this team with some matches.

Agree with that. I know it was only one day in between but bit disappointed having seen him caught on the ball so often yesterday to see the same thing happen today. You’d hope someone would’ve had a word.

No denying his class though. :barscarf: Just hope the press/media don’t hype him up too much too soon in their desperation for new England stars after the golden shower generation flopped, & if they do that it doesn’t go to his head. Hopefully he’ll push a few others, like Arshavin, to up their own game.

He's a good player, needs to adjust to higher pace, and toughen up a bit. Get him playing in the squad and see how things go.

I think he should be loaned out for 6 months to Bolton again.

In pre-season last term he was fairly lightweight although still had the attitude to put himself about - this time round he has the same desire but he has forged on strength wise and held off some experienced players over the duration of the last two matches.

With their tough approach to football, the Bolton move has helped Jack a lot and I wouldn't be too concerned if he started the season with them and then made his way back to us when there is one third of the league campaign remaining. With so many league and cup games, his determination would be a great asset towards the end of the season.

Thumbs up all round :D

I'd like to see him play as much as possible, but I'm not sure if Wenger has the balls to throw him into first team games yet. I would if I was the manager. But if he's not going to play, going on loan somewhere shit will probably help him.

One thing which fucks me off when Wenger talks about English players is "Oh, he should be in the England team". He did it with Walcott before he'd played for Arsenal, he's done it with Wilshere, and he even did it with Frimpong (on the back of three friendlies!)

I think the Frimpong situation is different because supposedly Frimpong declared he wanted to play for Ghana senior side earlier this year.
