Joe Hart to Sunderland???

If Citeh are even considering loaning him out...it's not exactly a vote of confidence for Hart...therefore a bid from a top club i'm sure will turn his head and make him agitate for a move...of course that's far too obvious a tactic for AW...

Agreed but I do think that we should throw the cat amongst the pidgeons by making an offer for shay given - if man shitty turn it down I would guess that hart might start wondering where that leaves him and might stir things up a bit then. The only way that hart might be sold is if he is not first choice and then demands a move 8)

Gordons injured.
Can't remember what (and can't be arsed to search) but he broke somethink early in pre-season.
A short term loan for Hart would make sence.
cheers boomer.

craig's injured? perfect keeper for arsenal then 8)

I agree Augie. But sadly Given is to good for Wenger to sign. Also he is proven in the prem so again no good For Mr Wenger

And Wenger will never ever ever ever ever ever sign him :banghead:

For the same reason he didnt sign Given two years ago :banghead: It would kill Flappys career.

City hold the cards here though. Play Given for a few more years before he's past his peak, while loaning Hart out to a team that isn't direct competition to them, keeping them both on a nice wage (am i right in thinking the parent club still pays the wages?!). Either way, City have no reason to engage in negotitians with Arsenal. Money is power. We should have gone for Given when he first went for a move.

According to football manager  (okay it's fairly accurate!)
it's all down to the terms of the loan.

Some lower division clubs may not pay for our loanees or if the do a certain weekly percentage. Still in both clubs interests lower club gets a free (young) player for a year whilst the parent club is able to provide playing time.

In Harts case I'm sure if any deal was done the wages would be paid in full.

Again like the wages there's usually a fee involved as well.
I think Celtic (reportedly) paid the sp*ds something ridiculous like £2M for the loan last year!

Thing is though that man shitty might also want to keep joe hart cos of the home grown rule as he would qualify as home grown while I think shay given wouldnt. Man shitty have a load of foreign players so home grown players might be a commodity for them

Joe Hart cost City £600K as adown payment rising to £1.5m with add ons. What did we pay for Flapianski?? With our great scouting network that eveyone bangs on about how did we miss out on Hart the first time but end up with the crap keepers we have at present??

Hart is now available and we need a goalkeeper who will help us keep clean sheets by making crucial saves in top games, not another season of blunders and a defense who have no idea what the bloke behind them is going to do next.

If we don't test City with a serious cash offer or even a loan offer how will we know what they want to do with him?
