As much as its amusing to some people, i think its terrible that it has been defaced like this.

No matter what we think of Ashley Cole, he was an invincible and deserves the right to be on that mural. I think this act of vandalism is a shame and feel sorry for the people who have to fix it knowing he will be slashed again.

if not for the simple fact that vandalism is never a nice thing, it is wrong because now people's attention will be more than ever caught to cashley - when the other way around should be happening - he must be forgotten, not remembered.

I think it was a poor judgement call by Arsenal to have the likes of Cashley on there, but cutting holes in it makes it look even worse.

The mural has nothing to do with Ashley Cole. It's celebrating Highbury, and our illustrious history. Just because there's a certain ex-player you no longer like, it doesn't mean you can start vandalising property (let alone property of the club you supposedly love).

It's all very 'Tottenham'. All bitter because an ex-player has moved on for greater success and never looked back, whilst we've achieved fuck all. It was four years ago, so I'd echo the sentiment to get over it.

I agree he is a *word censored*, but you cannot blank out a player who is as much as you might hate it is in the Arsenal history books for being part of a unique group of men....not just Arsenal history but English football history.

Time to let go of it now, he has been gone four years....and there is nothing we can say or do about it...destroying a mural with hundreds of Arsenal players on it only spoils it for those who enjoy looking at it, but also shows that we are as classless as he was when he left.

i would hope as Arsenal fans we would rise above all that shit and just leave the mural for people to enjoy, to act like a twat and deface something that took some thinking and some genius to do is plain wrong. Arsenal 'fans' who believe blacking out his face is fair need to grow up.

It's a shame that some fans can't enjoy some of the things the club does for us. It's a very nice photo with a lot of history. I hate cashley just as much as the next person but to ruin a nice picture because some twat thought he was being funny is shameful. With that said...fuck cashley

He was important in 2003-04 as anyone else, and in that period he earned his right to be part of history.

Just because he fucked it all up doesnt mean he doesnt have the right to be on the mural. I am not trying to defend the twat, but you cannot remove him because of what he did.

I am sorry but if you Jayson are a true fan you will know that defacing this mural was a disgrace, the picture posted on this forum shows to me an utter disregard for the history of our club....Cole is part of that whether you like it or not.
