Not surprised by this at all. There were rumours of something along these lines during the World Cup if you remember.

Perhaps the only shock is that his injunction didn't seem to hold out like the others have so far. Hopefully this opens the floodgates for the press.

Strange. When Jack Wilshere was arrested last week, then released without charge, and a police statement that they believed him to be a peace maker, Sky ran it as their top story. As did The Sun, for two days. Jack was then dropped by that prick Pearce.

the man is making millions with this family image, ie selling the rights to hello mag etc plus his endorsements so fuck him.

I'm sure those companies who are relying on his family image to help sell their products will want to know, but i dont think its something that the general public need to read about. I couldnt give a fuck about these companies who want to pay footballers millions of pounds in sponsorship, they are one of many things that are ruining our game imo. I just think that only things related to football should be printed, shit like this just isnt the fans business

Anyway, the FA say he is still going to Basle, so the gutter press havent managed to derail our qualifying campaign before it has really started (scum that they are). I'm flying out to Switzerland on Tuesday and will be giving Rooney a very good reception, as I'm sure all the other fans will

I dont blame them for the world cup, but the fuckers dont help do they? We look likely to win the rights to host the 2018 world cup, which would be good for the country, and the fucking shite papers cant go without setting up one of the people involved in the bid (basically showing that he will say some shite when out with a young, fit lass who he wants to fuck- who hasn t said shit to try and impress some lass, its just not newsworthy). That led to the bloke having to leave his job and could very much harm our chances of hosting the event

Then we have fake sheikhs, and the wayne bridge story being made public not far before a tournament. These useless pricks cant leave anything alone- any tournament we have, they will go on about how bad it is that we dont win, will pretend to be patriotic, but then will do, say, and publish anything they can to try and sell a few papers off the back of it, regardless of whether it harms our chances/ distracts the players. I'm sure there are other examples I cant think of at the minute where they have published things that they really didnt need to just in order to get cheap sales

The reason we were shite at the world cup was due to Capello making dreadful selection choices, completely going back on his "i will pick players who are playing and who are in form", was due to a dreadful lack of pace, a far too rigid formation, and yet again too many players who think they are the dogs bollocks finding out that they dont have the technical ability to hold a candle to actual world class players like xavi. These were the main reasons, but the pressure from the media, and the shite they print, doesnt help

I disagree completely. The players are the ones that make the mistakes so they should be named and shamed. Maybe the newspapers print the stories at specific times to sell more newspapers but they are a business at the end of the day.

If the players are so concerned about their teams, world cup bids or tournaments then don't do things that are wrong and give the newspapers an excuse to drag up dirt.

people all make mistakes though, no need to be named and shamed. Maybe the editor of the mirror likes his wife to shit in his mouth whilst calling him a bitch, it doesnt mean it is worthy of being printed and read by millions. If it doesnt affect his ability to play football (like if he was out on drugs all the time etc) then i dont think we have any right to know about his private life. Rooney is in a job like everyone else, and just because it is a much more high profile and well paid job than most, doesnt give us the right to know the intimate details of his personal life. The people who wrote these stories probably have partners, maybe i'll go up and ask them how big their wifes tits are, or how many fingers you can stuff up her minge. I wont, however, because its none of my fucking business

And if papers want to print things at certain times just to sell papers as they are a business then fine, but they dont need to go around pretending they are somehow patriotic and giving a fuck about the tournments at the same time
