As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That's a valid point, in fairness.

But it adds to the experience!

I agree mate. That man annoys the fuck out of me to be honest. I wish he did know how important matches like this was.
Sadly the fans are not important to Wenger and this does make us a club look weak in the eys of spuds. This is why its vital that we stil go and support the team. I am normaly a negative gooner due to the way things are going lately. However the north london derby brings out the fight in me! If this was against any other team i wouldnt be making such a big effort as it is expensive and we wont be seeing are strongest team.

I think the Spuds will put out a weakened team (they're Champs League now doncha know) so we may have a chance. But I agree I think we should put out a decent team.

I think we have the whole of the stand as there are over 4,000 tickets available to us so with the price, increased allocation there'll be more tickets. I remember the semi a few years back when we were 2-0 down and came back to draw 2-2 with Baptista scoring both was fucking mental...which was ONLY the League Cup, it's about much more when we play that vermin

Won't be the whole stand mate - will be what we normailly have, with some extra seats going towards the goal.

2 of the best nights of my life were the 1987 semi-finals against this shower of shit, at their shower of shit dump of a ground!

I stood on my seat for the whole of the 2nd half and extra time in the 2nd leg, cheered like f**k when they won the toss for home advantage in the replay, then had to leg it from the dickhead Sp**s lot outside, couldn't talk for days after but did it all over again the following week. I don't think I stopped smiling until I got home from Wembley a few weeks later!

It's these sort of memories that will keep me smiling when I get old(er) and grey(er) and more senile.

Having said that, I haven't been over there for a couple of years as I just can't be arsed with all the hassles of that game.

AND - the memories of the 5-1 shocker 2 & 1/2 years ago put me off Carling Cup matches. If the highly paid "superstars" can't be arsed, why do they expect us to be??

Top marks to all of you that are going - I hope you have as much fun as I did in 1987!!
