as a former Dj i take offense to that...
however DJ's are officially allowed in musicians guild now...
and if you really want to see what can be done with a pair of decks check out the technics world dj championships and the Vestax world championships, that shit is hot.

I can play multiple insturments. Guitar (who cant'), flute (who would) and piano (classically trained)
the notion that dj's steal music is a little blinkered. In essence all they do is play others in sequence to create atmosphere for otheres to enjoy.

Nothing wrong with sampling if the people who got sampled get paid by the person who does the sampling, which with strict laws and dedicated sample clearance companies these days is most of the time.
