Saw a Louie Theroux docu and he was visiting all these so called gangsta rappers and some manager type dude on it said the only real gangsta rappers were all in prison. The rest were fake. Then he explained all about his group that were serving life for raping and murdering a groupy... pwoppah bruv, pwoppah. Init.
No doubt a load of MCs brag about crimes they never came close to commiting, but plenty of them have rap sheets of the type found in a police station rather than in a rappers bedroom.
Not that it is a good thing, but they are being honest.
Afrika Bambaataa, Justice, Schoolly D, C-BO, JD from Lynch Mob, Capone, Pastor Troy etc have done some pretty heavy stuff in past "lives".
The one that made me laugh though was Rick Ross.
Naming himself after an infamous drug dealer, his bubble was somewhat bust when it was revealed he used to be a prison officer in Florida!
