Micah dreams of playing for Arsenal one day

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

good player, but another over-priced englishman that really hasn't done anything yet in his career. I dont see him wearing an Arsenal shirt in the foreseeable future..

It would cost more with Phil as part of the deal then without him
   THAT'S A CORKER, BARRY (SEE WHAT I DID THERE? NO? :? O.K. THEN   )

HAVE TO SAY THAT IT'S OLD NEWS. HE MADE A SIMILAR STATEMENT LAST SEASON WHEN HE WAS PREVARICATING OVER WHETHER OR NOT TO SIGN A NEW CONTRACT WITH CITY. AS FAR AS I KNOW - ALTHOUGH I'M NOT CERTAIN - HE HAS A COUPLE OF YEARS/18 MONTHS LEFT ON HIS EXISTING CONTRACT.

AS OTHERS HAVE ALREADY SAID, WOULD LOVE TO BUY HIM BUT I CAN'T SEE WENGER PAYING THE REQUIRED TRANSFER FEE. THAT IS A PITY BECAUSE, AS GOOD AS HE IS NOW, HE WILL DEFINATELY GET BETTER AND BETTER AND WILL THEREFORE BECOME EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE.

THINKING ABOUT IT, WE DON'T HAVE A GOOD TRACK RECORD OF SIGNING PLAYERS - PARTICULARLY ENGLISH ONES - THAT HAVE COME OUT AS BOYHOOD ARSENAL FANS. THERE HAVE CERTAINLY BEEN A FEW IN THE RECENT PAST THAT WE WERE RUMOURED TO BE INTERESTED IN BUT DIDN'T END UP SIGNING (CARRICK, DEFOE & BABEL OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD, BUT THERE ARE PLENTY MORE).

ALAS, I THINK RICHARDS WILL END UP AT CHELSEA OR MAN UNITED AS THEY SEEM MORE PREPARED TO INVEST THE KIND OF MONEY IT WOULD TAKE TO SECURE THE SERVICES OF SUCH A PLAYER.

u guys really under-rate swiss phil .. I am sure he will surprise many forthe rest of the season ..
I don't think I under-rate him at all, unlike the rest of the team he really does not look comfortable on the ball, he is prone to mistakes, lacks pace and has the turning circle of a large ship.

Yea I agree with you, people do under-rate swiss phil....saying that though his f@ck-ups do make me mad

Unfortunately people will highlight his mistakes more than his heroics!

Not quite every header :P I think cb is close to keeper in an area you can't make mistakes unless you have pace. If Toure makes on, or Richards, or Gallas, they can get back in time to make amends. Big Phil and Cygan lack pace and didn't have the positional sense (yet maybe with Senderos) to make up for it

Richards has pointed out the quotes he made were years ago, have been dug up and twisted to fit someone's else's agenda. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Senderos is at his best when along side Johan Djourou because they play together at international level and are very good friends
