Advice for London Christmas Vacation

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Was there around christmas about 4 or 5 years ago when we drew 2-2 with the chavs at Highbury.
There was an ice skating rink at Picadilly Circus, don't know if this happens every year or not, but looked like fun if you have kids with you.

Cheers Sid, I tend to end being dragged around on my arse like a mop when I go ice skating with the kids. If I feel selfish, I will avoid the area like the plague

They have a winter ice rink at Somerset House in the Strand (nearest tube stations Temple or Charing Cross or Holborn) most years.

There is a parade along Regent Street on New Years day in the morning.

Boat trip along Thames from Westminster Pier to Greenwich then see the observatory and museums there, but depends how old your children are.
Get the Docklands Light Railway back into town and sit at the front of the train, unlike a tube train the front is mainly windows so you get an interesting view.

I think they will enjoy the trip up the Thames and the museums.

Thanks Quartz.
