Mannone completes loan switch to Hull City

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wish we would just ship out some of the dross at the club (is mark randall still about?) instead of perpetually sending them out on loan.

I shall be following his progress with Hull. He's much better than some of you lot give him credit for.

Good riddance, he was bloody useless. Not as bad as Flappyhandski granted but bloody useless all the same. I wonder if they'd like a few others as well??

Loan seems sensible, hopefully he gets game time and we can see how good he is with regular football.

As Mannone had as much chance of starting a game this season as i did his loan move means nothing. The two clowns are still at the club arent they?

On loan at Barnsley he made two horrendous errors, both for winning goals and was dropped after two games

How the fuck did you come to that conclusion?

This kind of comment is indicative of the nonsense spouted when people just want to see a change, any change, regardless of whether the player coming in is proven or better in any way!

He is far too inexperienced and looked lightweight and a showboater in the few games he has played and a loan period may well do him good. Let's hope it goes better for him than his time at Barnsley where he was dropped after three games I think.

The same goes for Sczezezezezney. He played well in the Football League last year. Great!

Now you tell me the last 19 year old goalkeeper who has secured a first team spot in a top European team? Take away Casillas and there isn't one.

People just get carried away with the hype whether it is Emmauel-Thomes, Eastmond, Mannone or anyone else who has a half decent Carling Cup game or maybe a Prem game here and there when the squad is depleted.

Still didn't explain your thoughts and reasoning behind why Vito is more qualified?

Does he have a NVQ in Plumbing or something?

He is Italian so maybe he does know Super Mario and his brother?

I reckon Mannone has a City & Guilds in Basic Tree Surgery and Horticulture.
