just got 1 today, driving me mad though, how do you set up a personal email account instead of a business blackberry 1?

been googling all day and they all say register on the blackberry internet service site. but to do that i need a ESN/MEID number, which i most definately dont have. this stupid phone has spoiled my day

Phone your mobile phone company and do it through them. If you have a business account, speak to business customer service who will be better trained than regular staff.

yes, ill definately be ringing them tomorrow, seems the only thing left to do.

i got the blackberry curve 8520 on virgin contract

I have used the Curve. Nice phone.

Also had difficulty setting up the email account on my own but customer service sorted it in five minutes.

I was thinking of getting a Blackberry. I am unsure which one to get. Don't really know a great deal about them but looking on ebay. The two that I found in my price range are the Blackberry Bold 9000 or Curve 8250.

Anyone got the Bold 9000? What are they like and is it a really old model?
