The Fabianski Appreciation Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is, if im not mistaken, his first chance at regular first team football and you can see he's gained a huge amount of confidence from it. Early days yet, but he's coped extremely well.
I've given the lad terrible stick but he was outstanding today.

Full credit to him, We might make a keeper of him yet!!!

He'll be brought back down to earth when he runs out and flaps for something against Newcastle or West Ham.

Round of applause from this mother fucker.

But that's about it.

Is he going to get the chance to consolidate his positon? Can he?

Interesting questions but I feel Almunia is coming straight back in and whatever little confidence has been built up is gonna get dashed to fuck.

But for today, take a pat on the back Fabianski. 8)

Well done flappy but I'm still convinced he's gonna make another howler somewhere down the line! So hope i'm wrong but nonetheless well played today.

That pen save against Partazan really made him.

FAB-IE-AN-SKI ARSENAL'S NUMBER 1!!!!

 I never thought I would say that....

But he needs to play like that EVERY game.

His best performance for us by a country mile. Great saves, no mistakes and for the 1st time I felt confident about him. He's been steady in the previous 4 games but today he was brilliant. I wouldn't be pleased at all to see him dropped for Almunia which is the biggest compliment I can pay him. Will he continue like this long term?? The jury is still out on that one.

I think Almunia is finished as an Arsenal player.

Fabianski is all about confidence. He has that now and is showing it on the pitch. Best performance from an arsenal keeper for years. and before anyone points to mannone against fulham - no, that wasn't a great performance, the lad just got lucky. fabianski claimed impecably. produced 2 or 3 outstanding saves and distributed well. well played son!
