how old are you 5? :D

they were only time wasting to get booked. it wasnt about holding the game up, it was an easy way to get a yellow card

So cards definitely don't get wiped after the end of the group stages anyway?

I wouldn't go giving props to Mourinho just yet, didnt Alonso do the same under instruction from Benitez 3 or 4 years ago? :?

Brilliant management. Mourinho is a class act, light years ahead of Turnip.

2. this meant that a booking in their last group game would see them both suspended from the first knock out stahe as madrid have qualified.

3. in 87th min madrid get free kick. alonso takes but time wastes so gets 2nd booking and a red.

4. in 91st min madrid take a goal kick which ramos takes and also time wastes get sent off.

5. both now miss last group game BUT when go through both have clean sheets in the first knock out stage...

little naughty...
Naughty maybe but clever. Well done to them

It's always happened at tournaments.

I just think the ref was a mug for going along with it.....especially for the 2nd one. He must have realised what was going on!

The daily mail shows the pictures of how Ramos was informed.

Obvious with out these pictures that a fit Casillas would take the goal kicks.

"sweep the leg"

Great amanager, balls and hunger! Wenger is fragile *word censored* of man compared to him.

Stinks of tactics to me! Wenger would never be involved in such a thing.

He's so cool as well. I'd give my left nut to have him manage us.

Didnt Beckham do this in and England qualifier a few years ago he was on a yellow form a previous game and the next game was agianst some minnows prior to an important game so he deliberately went out and got booked and the press vilified him over it :?

People are far too quick to credit mourinho for everything nowadays.......if memory serves me correctly madrid did the very same either last season or the season before so they would have a player available for el classico. Am beginning to think some fans believe that mourinho credited the game of football and everything evolves around him now

Yes, it does Sid... Wenger doesn't do them does he...

Edit... although.... ... thinking about it, I do seem to remember Fabregas getting booked a few seasons back so he got a ban to miss an ''easier game'' I can't remember what game it was against though... :? :?
