New Arsenal shirt - 125 years

mate, i'm sure you're both talking about different shirts. the one with the smaller emirates logo and older club crest is a fucking beauty.

mate, to have the emirates logo so small in there is a fucking blessing! do you prefer it to be bigger?

and please tell me that you don't expect a shirt without a sponsor in 2010... even bilbao has it nowadays...

Corinthians achieved that in 2005 :) no logo, the best football shirt ever!

it's not nice mixing history with that sh*t F.E*** logo.

and Bilbao ... well, we've already discussed that.

wont be that one, that was doing the rounds last year. spu*s had a special shirt made for there 125years and wore it just the once, which was a good idea as it didnt upset people who had bought the main shirt which they then got 2 years out of.

I've got no problem with new kits for special occasions, but wouldnt want to turn into chelsea who seem to change the shade of stitching they use, or add a zip and call it a "new kit" each season..

so in 1888/89, some players wore white knickers on the pitch (presuambly instead of shorts)! that's one way to distract the opposition i suppose :D

Disgusted :banghead:

125 years WTF sort of a milestone is that. They may as well celebrate 133 years or 137 years. I won't buy it for myself or my kids. The club can poke it right up it's arse.

The club shirts have been a gimmick for a fair few years now. I wouldn't give a monkeys if the player went out in plain red T shirts, as long as the players represented our club to the best of their ablilty.

C*nts trick of you ask me.
( Slightly anti arsenal ?- who'd have thought it  )

That was rumored to be the 10-11 kit, but it was a Photoshop.

It's just another money-driven part of the game, getting one kit per season. I think the best kit in the last five years was the Herbert Chapman memorial, absolutely loved that kit. The current one is classy too; disappointing to have to think it'll be gone again so soon.

The first white one?

That was horrible. Any of these "tribute" shirts they've released have been shit - the white ones, the red current ones. We're arsenal - we wear red and white or yellow and blue :barscarf:

speaking of which, don't know when I last heard

Arsene Wenger's Red and White Army / We hate totnum
