do the pitch invaders deserve a ban?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

this is why modern football is going to the dogs. people like you and iceman. I remember a pitch invasion at highfield road in '84. 200 gooners on the pitch at the end and we had a laugh. better than the fucking emirates experience :banghead:  :banghead:
Its not 84 but 2010. Stop living in the past!

This happened in 81 and that happened in 78. You keep going on about what happened in another century. Come out of the cave Sir Henry!

I'm surprised you haven't complained about the crowd surge at villa yet. I'm sure if you write a nice letter to david cameron he'll launch an enquiry into it to stop those nasty ruffians again

Away scheme members were in the upper and there was no crowd surge there.

My views on it are clear. Its dangerous and could lead to injuries to less able people. I am able to look out for myself during such instances. Experience is the best teacher in life and once things go wrong people will learn for themselves. Also with reduction in allocation in the coming years as a result of such behaviour (villa and stoke have done it already), the surges will automatically die down or become less of a concern. I don't need to come on a forum and voice my disapproval for something.

I am sure they can read english and the words that coming on the pitch is a legal offence. I paid money to watch football, not some teenagers having a run about on the football pitch. They can go and do that in Hyde Park. Thousands of people over there as well.

And then what do you do if it starts happening in every one of our home games?

You can't then ban the next group, as they can refer back to the initial 'non-offenders' who went unpunished.

As far as I'm concerned, if they've committed a criminal offence, then they deserve to be punished for it. I've had enough of this country's flimsy judicial system allowing youngsters off purely because of their age. Teach them a lesson now, maybe it'll teach 'em some respect.

I think when you go over and antagonise the oposition fans is when you need to start talking bans....running on in just pure joy of a goal ect, just a bit of a beating from the stewards

Lets all sit down, clap politely whilst sipping out latte's and reading our match programmes. Bore off.

MORE SURGES, MORE PITCH INVASIONS, MORE STANDING = MORE FUN :bestmates: :bestmates: :bestmates:

Two of the pitch invaders picked up groin and achilles injuries, so they should be back to run on the pitch in 'two, maybe three weeks'.

I agree.
Personally I not overly bothered about these kids but more the long term effects.
If if was just the one kid a don't think we'd be having this thread but there was 5 kids in total. (?)

The real issue which BPP mentioned is the safety aspect what if the kid was a nutter or Sid! and pull a knife on Wenger?
It was a criminal offence and they unfortunately should face the consequence.

A short term ban (5 years) plus a fine for the parents.

How does a ten-year old kid running on the pitch make the day more fun for me?

I had a tenner on Bendtner first goal and Arsenal to win 3-0 at 20/1.
Those little *word censored* cost me 2 minutes of injury time in which I'm certain we'd have scored a third, and so they have cost me £210.
Fuck banning them for life, execute the little bastards.
