I like to support my local lower league teams. And it doesn't detract at all from my Arsenal religion.
Crawley Town....because I was raised there,
Wycombe Wanderers....because I lived near there for eight years,
Burgess Hill....because I've lived there, on and off, for many years, and
Brighton and Hove Albion....because they are the nearest "big" club to Burgess Hill.
I've attended hundreds of matches with these teams. And I've even been to Wembley with two of them.
Crawley have just reached the third round of the FACup.
Brighton are top of their league, and look forward to playing in a brand new stadium at the start of next season.
I'm chuffed for them.

best mate is a charlton fan so always look at for their results
also live near dagenham, remembered when they were in the confernce, was brilliant going with a bunch of mates to wembley to see them get promoted to league 1 last season - atmosphere was better than when we went there against chelsea in the f.a cup semi

Everytime we used to goto Crawley it would always kick off.MutleyGooner wrote:Great result for my local team Crawley Town last night beating Swindon Town by three goals to twoDerby County in the next round of the FA Cup, should be fun
This was back in the days that David Speedie was playing for them in the Beazer Homes Premier Division.
Since moving to North Bucks I've made a lot of visits to Rushden & Diamonds (although not since they got relegated from the league), Northampton Town and MK Dons. Good fun and a decent atmosphere and offers often mean that you can get in for a £5 if you're not bothered about the opposition. It's always nice as well that you can join in the celebration of a win without being that bothered if they've lost!
Non-league I used to follow my local club, Harlow Town. Saw them beat Southend in the cup one year and get a draw at Leicester. Still gutted though that the win in the replay and the 4th round trip to Watford - where Harlow took near on 10,000 - clashed with Arsenal home games

I went to watched Harlow play Peterborough in the FA Cup a good few years ago it was such a one sided game Harlow lost 7-0 and their keeper was man of the matchMK Gould wrote:Since moving to North Bucks I've made a lot of visits to Rushden & Diamonds (although not since they got relegated from the league), Northampton Town and MK Dons. Chesterfield are playing some cracking football for lower league stuff at the moment.
The new ground is great, for the standard they play as well with an excellent atmosphere (and they do an offer most Saturdays just before the game - Beer is £1.99 a pint).
I would recommend it to anyone at the moment.
