He was never gonna make it and had countless loans, unlucky but it is time to cut loose, more of the same is needed.

The worrying thing is, Randall was clearly not good enough. Plenty of people can see talent, and Randall, much like several of our other youngsters clearly doesn't have it in abundance. To take until he is 21 yo to see this makes me think that Wenger isn't quite the messiah in spotting talent that many give him kudos for, either that, or the coaches who do watch these lads are not doing a very good job. We really need a clear out to free up significant wages for new signings.

I think Wenger has made it very obvious he is far too attached to his players/proteges and finds it very difficuilt to let them go even when it is painfully obvious they are not good enough or are letting him down...As Denilson and others in the past have shown the only way we seem to be able to get rid of most of those who aren't good enough is if they decide to leave themselves...

He's probably only going because he's due a testimonial next season... not saying that we're tight *word censored* though...

I think he is another example of giving far too many average youngsters long deals. I think it was clear two seasons ago he wasnt going to make it in the prem. Yes he never got a chance, but i think it was obvious from what he did out on loan he wasnt up to par.

Wondering when we cut Randall loose as already said it obvious 2 yrs back he wasn't good enough.Loan reports weren't very good but still Wenger hung on afraid of being proved wrong wasting monies......now for the rest of the dross.

Randall's a bit old don't ya think? Me and my mates are all a bit worried but I reckon he's in the clear, that's why he's been fucked off to Rotherham!

Sorry, he is not good enough. Simple as.

What everyone always seems to miss with players going out on loan, is that they should be cutting the mustard in great swathes. Therefore, if you go on loan and make no to little impact then you will never make it at a club like Arsenal. Sadly that is why there appears to be only about 2-3 out of our, what 20 odd, loanees who will POSSIBLY cut it for us. The rest are toast.

I'm struggling to think of anyone, with the notable exceptions of Wilshere and (hopefully) Ramsey, where we have benefited from sending them out on loan. Generally, and especially when they go to a league 1/2 club, it appears to just be a way of running down their contract before departure....

In fairness to the club though, maybe its standard practice to offer promising 16/17 year olds 5 year contracts these days.....?
