ARE YOU JOKING???

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Spot on ihh

If arsenel were relegated people would still defend him!!!
except we havent ever looked like being in the wafa cup
get some perspective
people back wenger because we have always been there or there abouts with a smaller budget than our rivals

if we looked like not qualifying for the CL that is when sensible people would feel the manager is under pressure
Absolutely BANG ON! Look at ancelotti. Double last year, under the knife now! Effing hell, look at liverpool, they went out to a League 2 side!! Some fans are deluded, and completely ungrateful. Like I said he aint perfect, but noone in the world can do what he does on a shoestring! And I still stand by yesterday not his fault!!
Yeah, you carry on believing that mate - and you've got the cheek to accuse others of being deluded?

Dont boo the players during a match, boo the manager.

The club comes first and too many fans are losing sight of that and getting sucked into the same malaise that seems to be engulfing the entire club.

Time to wake up.

I would LOVE to have crystal ball to see what would happen if Arsene left, honestly I would. I could guarantee we'd get some absolute loada bollox like Scolari or sumat, and be mid table within 2 years. It would honestly go that way! Hopefully we'll never know. This age of instant success is so shite! Fuck me I wish Abramovi$h had preferd baseball or something and never started this buy to win bollox!!! Grass aint always greener! Ask Leeds & Lpool fans!

I used to be a large rosetinter, looking at some of my early posts a cringe worthy.

But he needs to be questioned now, the comfort zone that he and the players exist is, is being detremental to our results.

So what is the managers role then? When does the line stop with him? Does he have no responsibility other than picking the team? So his job is to come in the training ground in the morning, get them to do a few exercises, pick the team and let them get on with it? Bullshit.

Now I am not saying Wenger is squeaky clean after the past 5 years, but how on earth was yesterday his fault in any way???? Players fault this time. Wenger 100% squeaky clean on this occasion! They had no passion or respect :banghead:
ARE YOU JOKING???

When a team wins matches and trophies the manager rightly gets the plaudits. When his team loses he must also take blame. Its his team he picked it. Its up to him to motivate them and fire a few rockets up the their arses, grab people by the scruff etc, drop them if they can't be motivated or sell them. Kick a few football boots around dressing room - they'll know to give 100% next game. Here's a good idea throw a few tactics in there aswell. 4-5-1 against a shit team ? 2 defensive midfielders ? And a comedian at right back ???????????

It's a difficult one do you blame the manager for playing the players but then you can blame the players for not playing the way the manager wants, you can blame the players for not being good enogh but thats down to the manager for buying them. You can blame the players for not winning a game but is that down to the tactics the manager plays. It is give and take on both sides

Overall the Wenger experiment needs tweeking, Wenger needs somebody to sit down with him and show him the problems. Have a fresh pair of eyes look at it from inside the Arsenal camp. It's no good the media and ex pros having a go as Wenger will just put up the baracades and drive on with his plan as it is at the moment. He knows we need another CB etc but seems to be stuck in the rut of his "experiment"(as the media call it). The final peices of the jigsaw are out there Wenger just needs the push or guidence to push him out of the rut he has got himself into.

Yea, you are 100% wrong. Not a rosetinter, think there need to be major changes, BUT just can't get my head around last night being Arsenes fault!! If the players can't get motivated by thought of Wembley and a Trophy for the first time for mopst of them, but need a ray winstone character kicking shit out of them in the changing rooms at HT, then they need to look at themselves not Arsene!
