I thought it was paying homage to one of the greatest films ever made - Cool Hand Luke starring Paul Newman & George Kennedy.
Luke Jackson (Paul Newman's character) was in Jail for cutting the heads off parking meters and the film covers his battle with Dragline (George Kennedy's character - the prison Daddy) and with the corrupt warders.
When the warders lock cells or the solitary confinement "box" they say "Locking it down here".
I can imagine people like David Miliband (or his brother Glenn) watching Star Wars (geeks that struggle to get a shag) whereas Cool Hand Luke is watched by the boys at school that got into the 1st team and always copped off with the best looking birds.
