     he's had a good season in the championship and a good half season in the prem. He has age on his side, but so far he has not proved himself in the PL. Plus if you sign Carroll you never know when he's next going to end up in trouble with the law and facing a jail term. Signing Carroll is a huge risk and I wouldnt have thought he was worth anything more than 15m tbh, and thats being generous. Unbelievable that LFC would offer that for him, and even more amazing that the mags would reject the bid. Looks like it might still happen though. The footballing world has gone crazy

£30m = nearly as much as David Villa cost Barcelona. David fucking Villa! World Cup winner, European Championship winner, nearly 50 goals at international level, 20+ goals a season every season for the last 10 years or so David Villa! Just when you thought English football couldn’t disappear any further up it’s own arse.

Carroll doesn't want to go though.

So how would Liverpool line up?

Carroll up front.

Cole - Suarez - Johnson behind him?

Morieles and Gerrard deep midfield?

Just a guess?

I'd assume Carroll up top with Suarez playing just off him, but that would obviously affect Gerrard as that role just off the striker is one that he is most effective in. But I'd imagine he will go 4-4-1-1 somehow or other- trouble for Liverpool is their wingers aren't up to much, so service for Carroll might not be particularly top notch. Admittedly they will have Gerrard looking for him in much the way Barton does for Newcastle, but I still think they will struggle to get the best out of him

Carroll and Suarez up front in a 4-4-2. Big man/little man - would have a lot of potential as a partnership. If they can stop Joe Cole from coming to Arsenal then things would look pretty decent for the Scousers I reckon!

I've been shaking my head for 2 hours! If we think Wenger is wrong NOT signing players, what must the scousers think of King Kenny?!!

Agree, if we bought Carroll for £35m how would everyone feel? Fair play to Newcastle, they realised how much Liverpool were getting from the potential Torres deal. It makes you wonder how much some of our players are worth. RVP? Cesc? Nasri? surely now all have a price tag of £35m plus.

It's an English thing weirdly. All over inflated. You'll find Theo is probably nearer £35M
I'd say RVP and Cesc were worth more anyway but not in comparison to £35

Mental money for a player that will in all likelihood spend next season suffering from the dreaded "Second Season" complex... :?
