Just stumbled across this - skymobile tv. If you are a sky sports subscriber it's only £5 a month for one iphone and one ipad. I don't have sky sports but my mate does, so surely if I subscribed using my mates sky account I'll be getting sky sports for just a fiver a month, rather than £35.
Now thats made me think seriously about getting the original ipad.

if you have a sky subscription at home you can use it on most things these days. xbox, phones computers. for FREE! so i wudnt get to hyped about this ipad shit.
like dan 85 said, most people use these apple products as some sort of fashion accessory, to say "im better than you because i have and ipad/iphone"
HTC Desire HD beats iphone 4 hands down, and as for the ipad..... its a fuking laptop made smaller with less capabilities.
I wudnt mind but the price of apples products is pathetic, yet people still buy it

I think the xbox/computer streams are only available until 30 June, so thats just a short term, and I'm not the only with the subscription anyway, thats somebody else. The phone service is not free, its £5 a month and includes 1 pass for an ipad. The only way I can watch prem games at my house is through a stream, and they are generally terrible at the best of times.
Still, in 10 years or so I won't have to worry about sky sports and their rip off subscriptions, just Arsenal and their rip off season tickets

no usb socket should say it all really.
no option to attach to printers,
no external memory or devices.
no drives,
no dual packet transfer protocols
no flash capability
wi-fi only is not a good thing
typing is a bitch when on the move with it
people who buy ipads are the same mugs that vote on shit like x-factor.
the same can be said for ipods your really have to be a muggins to pay 100+ for an mp3 player when way better ones are available for less than half.
The iphone may have it on interface but apart from that even thats still a shit device.
wake up anyone considering apple products do your research and spend your hard earned cash more wisely.

Ease of use not features is king these days and thats why Apple are one of the most valuable companies in the world.12thGooner wrote:no usb socket should say it all really.

iPad 2 is still the best tablet by far.
This. And the "ease of use" argument doesn't really hold up for me. The latest Android OS is just as easy to use as the iPad. People are sheep, they've just bought into the hype & PR spun by Apple. As Gus says the Desire HD, which runs Android, bitch slaps the iPhone in all departments...12thGooner wrote:no usb socket should say it all really.

Why is anyone who uses an Apple product a sheep?
The reason I use Apple products is because they are superior. They don't crash nearly as often as pcs, the iPhone has a far better app store, is very easy to use, has a fantastic screen etc.
No android I've tried has come close to this and according to every review no Android tablet has come anywhere near to matching the iPad. Thats why it has nearly 75% marketshare. The iPod is the same, no company can match the ease of use, the ecosystem, the aesthetics and the features all in one package.
