It was a fucking sending off. If you grab the neck you go off. Van Persie went off for frak all. You have to ask is football corrupt ? I get the feeling it is. Such big money now

at the risk of sour grapes, is anyone else fed up with this fucked up fixed competition, even a neutral could not argue that all the decisions seem to be loaded in barcawhores favour, a joke sending off just to give them the advantage and all the diving and crowding the ref.
We all laughed at the chavs when they crashed out to them but they always seem to have a helping hand from UEFA, think of the revenue that they would lose if barca went out early in the competition.
The whole competition seems rotten to me.

For the first time ever whilst watching a match, I strongly felt as though the referee was corrupt and involved in match-fixing.

i don't think the ref was corrupt, i just don't think he was strong enough to stick to his gut decisions. he buckled under the pressure of the crowd, the occasion and of the opposition, and took the easy options...

to be fair, he could've given 2 pens against us before the one he did give.
i do strongly believe though, that had it been 1-1 entering the last 5 minutes, and barca player going down in our box, no matter how dubious, would've been greeted with a pen.

There's no way Blatter wanted the Champions League QF's without Barcelona in it, and voila, job done.

We may well have gone out anyway, without the match fixing, but it definitely made sure.

Gentleman, just accept that we were raped tonight by a marvellous team. Yep the sending off was a joke but no conspiracy, just a shit referee. Even with 11 men, do you really think we would have gone through?

Our defence was brilliant at times but they were relentless.

With 11 men we had more of a chance than we did with 10 thats a simple fact.

Why not? It was 1-1.. thy tired in the last 20 at the emirates both times we played them, we had the option of keeping RVP on and bringing on a striker to partner him.

We were still well in the game

Probably not but since when did the best team always go through? The game was ruined by the decision.
