Would have have seen a real captain like Tony Adams doing all that shite?
I didn't see that before. Utter disgrace.

The guy was abysmal tonight. His head was not right. What the fuck are you doing backheeling the ball in front of your box 2 minutes before half time? I wouldn't do that playing 5-a-side with my mates!!

To be honest his display was not really a reflection on him. It was a reflection on Wenger. If he is a captain, I'm a dutchman. His performance sums up why this Club is going nowhere under Wenger. That flick was about 'art', it was about flair, and playing football 'the right way'. If that had been a Chelsea or Utd player, the ball would have been in row Z. We will never win with an attitude that alllows players to express themselves like that!

Agree with Frank, this did look like a sentimental selection by Wenget tonight. And the pre-match stuff in the tunnel was just completely wrong and actually embarrassing I thought. This is not leadership, but it is not a joke either - it is serious, I can't understand a mentality that allows backheels, flicks, one-twos etc on the edge of our own box. :banghead:

Cesc has won us more games IMHO than lost us. He's just back from injury and maybe needed to prove a point about how good he is to the Barca players.

I would have rather took an abysmal Cesc than a pathetic Rosicky(does he have any skill left?) or a "wish I never see him again" Denilson or Abou Diaby FFS

Everyone knows where his heart is, tunnel antics just rubbed it in our faces.

Cesc was very very poor tonight and on the match thread I also criticised him for a lack of leadership tonight :( However I will not join in for a general cesc bashing on the back of his wishing to rejoin barca. His back heel was foolish and did of course cost us but as has already been pointed out this is part of the wenger strategy so that should be ironed out by the manager. Like I said cesc was poor tonight but he will always be a legend in my eyes 8)

Just what you've come to expect from a club which pays the likes of Denilson, who laughs after we've lost a cup final, and Bendtner, who tells Arsenal.com that he expects Arsenal to concede at the Nou Camp.

I was proud of our display tonight (in terms of passion, rather than outright quality), but the club does have some serious issues with its players attitudes.

And I didn't even mention Bendtner or Eboue.

Thought I was seeing things after the penalty, but others have confirmed it for me..Cesc was smiling...His backheel was suicide. I wouldn't doubt his commitment, but maybe his head was turned again by the occassion tonight. In the context of tonight's game he was awful, but he has been inspirational at times and we all have said it here.

I didn't see either of these mentioned events as I only just arrived for kick-off after rushing in early, it sounds bad but aren't at least half of those whores his spain teammates? I must've been looking away or something, when did the cameras show him laughing when the pen was put away? Tbf I had my face in the carpet for about 20 seconds after that was scored. :banghead:

@cesc4official: Great support from the arsenal fans. I take full blame for the result tonight. One of the worst moments of my life. I apologise.

Leave him alone. So he had a bad game? So fucking what is he not allowed one? The boys pure class. Maybe he shouldn't have shook their hands, but I doubt he wanted us to ge tknocked out. Plus you see lot of players do similar things.

He wasn't 100%. Maybe he wanted to play there coz he knows he's staying with us next year :D and might never get another chance to play there. One bad game against best team in world doesn't make the man shite overnight - he's still our best player - I don't think he's a great captain tho.
