top 5 beers

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

:finger:

In no particular order:

Tribute Cornish Ale
Guinness
Pilsner Urquell
Kuerzer Altbier
Kreuzberger Molle
Päffgen Koelsch
Affligem
M&S County Carlow Stout
Hooky Gold
Bitburger Pils

marc, do you know anywhere in London that sells that Paulaner Pils you & Rob were telling me about a while back? The one Rob said tasted better than Shakira’s fanny. Pretty sure I remember someone telling me that Hen & Chicken place across the roundabout from H&I station sells it :?, but if I’m down that end of HR I may as well just pop in to the Wig & Gown instead - the beer in there is always so fresh.
Yep, I know that the Hen and Chickens had it, haven't been there for a while though. It is good, but just couldn't squeeze it into to my top 10

And re the Wig   - if you're going there, do it before the end of the season. I have promised swale that if we win the league, I'll run naked down holloway rd and into the wig.

rebel, I would be interested to know what foods you like...Murphy's nice, but the rest (esp john smiths) barely taste of anything...AT ALL.

Have you been tested for taste buds?

Czech beers are all great...Kozel, Gambrinus (who sponsor their Premiership), Starropramen, Pilsner Urquell...all quality lagers.

Draught ales and porters....
Old Speckled Hen
Theakstons Old Peculiar
Bishops Finger
Beamish
Guiness

Draught lagers....
Grolsh
Kronenburg
Stella
Staropremen
San Miguel

I'm off to a beer festival in Sussex at Easter. Over 100 real ales on offer. The only time I will ever drink half pints, so I can sample as many as possible before I fall over.

Ignorant pigfucker!  Smithwicks and Kilkenny are fucking beautiful beers. Nothing tastier than a Smithwicks with a dash of red lemonade in a chilled glass on a hot summer's day. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 8)

I am surprised that a lot of german beers were named (there are better german beers than Radeberger or Bitburger).

My 5 favourites:

Becks
Jever
Budweiser (Cech)
Franziskaner
Guinness
