Mate it's the most amusing part of the day's entertainment these days. I usually walk down the pathway next to the car park and turn right under the tunnel towards the Tollington. Normally there's a group of kids that chase the cars down the road, but there's a growing band of 'adults' that have started copying. One in particular yesterday had a lever arch file that looked like it contained 'Match Attax' cards that my 10 year old collects; I think he was trying to get them all signed. Earlier this season I saw 3 blokes, all at least in their 30s, jostling for Bendtner's autograph at the lights, practically knocking kids out of their pathJMascis666 wrote:I usually drink around Blackstock Road after a game, I really must pop down to The Tollington and witness this for myself it sounds quite entertaining!
Reminded me of that film........"the 40 year old virgin"

First time I think I have done it but don't know how else we can get some message across, was pathetic and gutless...a one off display I have let it pass me by and have often applauded the team if they commitment was there. There was none of that yesterday and they deserved it and needed to know how we feel
I have never done it and could never do it, seems counter productive.
The players are a product of the team management from AW.
His continued stubbornness whilst the club stagnates and even goes backwards is the board's fault.
Booing the players will get us no where.
If you've had enough, stay at home, no one would blame you and it would hurt our bean counting club more than a few boos

Problem then is you will have a Championship teamRosie_titters wrote:boo the bastards to death, over paid tossers who aint delivering the goods and don't even look fucking interested

The problem nopw isn't that we have top-flight players with second-tier attitudes, its that players are not top-flight players either in many cases. An attitude adjustment alone is not enough in too many instances

The booing was done after the game so cant see how it would affect the players or performance. Is booing any worse than the ironic cheers everytime below average al catches a ball ?

Personally I am 100% in support of the principle that allows fans to voice their displeasure and I am also in total agreement with it being done yesterday

Also should say that I feel it is high time the board, manager and players find out just how pissed off and frustrated we fans are. Forget winning trophies the very least we deserve, especially when you consider the financial outlay, is for each and every employee to bust a gut to bring success to this club - do people believe that we are getting that ? The manager and players are on easy street and if the people running our club from the posh seats are not going to shake them out of their slumber then we sure as hell will try to do so

I didn't boo as its not for me but they certainly didn't deserve to be clapped off that's for sure, Wenger's aftermatch interview tells me that him and his players don't give a fuck though, something like 'we will just concentrate on our performance and let the fans concentrate on their own attitude' or something along those lines.
The man is too far gone and is not in touch with the supporters, he's out of control.

) that you wouldnt tolerate shit service as a customer in a restaurant or any other consumer based industry so why should this be any different ? Football is a consumer business now so dont kid yourself thinking anything different cos all we are now is customers but sadly we are the worst type of customers.......we are the customers whose loyalty is taken for granted cos they know we wont go and support anybody else

Two points though.
First, none of us are the worst type of customers. Loyalty, even misplaced, is a virtue. The real seem is in taking that loyalty for granted or worse even using that loyalty to take advantage of us and decieve us.
Second, its not the manager and players whose attention we need to get and shake from their slumber, it's the people running the club from the posh seats. Only when they feel the pressure to make any changes will anyone else feel the pressure to do so. Whehther the solution is as some believe to sack the manager now, or as some believe to make it clear to the Manager that if he does not use the resources at this disposal now his job will be at stake, ot as some beleive to genuinely make the needed resources available to the Manager it will start from the Board Room and only if those in the Board Room feel pressured to start it.
But would you go back to the restaurant while it still had the same shoddy management and service, probably not.augie wrote:topgoon wrote:I have never done it and could never do it, seems counter productive.

Would you keep paying to go back to this restaurant just so you can have a moan about just how shit the food is, like those idiots that keep going to that shit restaurant in Chinatown in London just so they can go on about how shit the service was.

I booed at the final whistle. It just came out, no warning
I had also made my mind up that in the unlikely event that we got a late winner I would not be standing up to celebrate.
I never seen our fans so angry and even surprised myself. Ended up having words with a couple of youngsters (in their 20's) berating everyone for not singing and getting behind the team when they are just not putting in the effort. Sorry lads, these overpaid, pampered millionaires have to earn my respect by putting in a good shift.
They were also slagging off those that left early - on that we firmly agreed.

It's a tough cycle. The team needs a boost from the fans, but the fans need a boost from the team. However, based on the first 10 minutes of the game, I still feel the Emirates attendance is far too quiet and has a spoiled sense of expectation. I can understand not being vocal by 60 minutes, but early on the only things that got a rise out of the 60k people seemed to be a near goal... short of that, it was the usual grumbling and sounds of pens doing crossword puzzles.Glitch33 wrote:I booed at the final whistle. I fully admit though that I only hear/see from the TV; I don't know what it's like actually there. But this seems like the case for most of the non-major home games I've seen lately (non-Barca etc)
