Not a particularly religous man myself so maybe a lot of the hurt the word cause jewish people passes me by and the only connection I ever make with that word is to the scum supporters. I think if the jewish community and the world of football in general want to stop the use of this word then they simply have to start in shite hart lane cos if the word is offensive then it is offensive regardless of what context it is used
I havent got a problem with it, if sp*rs fans use it then as far as im concerned its fair game. Chants about the holocaust etc are totally unacceptable though
I used to use it solely for describing the totts in a nickname type way (like mancs for manure fans or mousers for Pool fans) but don't use it anymore because several Jewish Gooners have told me they find it offensive. I won't die if I don't use it - so fuck it I don't use it!
Reminds me of being at college. All the Asian kids would refer to themselves as Pakis & would even base their university choices on "how many Pakis were there" God help any white kid who ever dared use that word though...
