Lap of "appreciation"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Left at the final whistle last year and for probably the only time walked staight into Finsbury Park Station without any Police hold ups.I imagine if you wait for it this year 99% of the crowd will be gone..Before the game let the stadium announcer announce the names of all the players who contibuted this season and judge the crowds reaction...Jack, TV5 , Zcenzey, RVP and Aaron would survive the abuse. Anyone old enough to remember the "Clapometer" on Opportunity Knocks ??

Won't be staying for this farce. I absolutely hope they get both barrels, sadly it seems that a few claps & waves is all it takes for our crowd of mongs to forgive them.

well they were applauded off at half time today and at full time, so if that is anything to go by they will have people dropping to their knees as they go around after the Aston Villa game. If there is any justice they will be booed off the pitch (with the loudest boo saved for that loser Wenger).

I do not understand this with our fans at all. Granted, our away support is miles better than our home support, but there are still a large portion of mongs who seem to forgive the previous 90 mins of utter shit if Theo claps them from the centre circle :? Why are we not letting them know it's not good enough?!

I've said it before, and i'll say it again. This bunch of bottlers woulda been chased from the pitch for that and numerous other performances this season if they'd been playing on the continent.

I dont agree with that!!

I wouldnt call our away fans 'sad' because they travel to a meaningless game, fair play to them thats what supporting your team is all about. If we we playing Spurs/Man Utd or Chelsea would they still be sad for attending a game of the team they passionly support?

We must take the opportunity on the lap of Shame to unanamously chant ' ARSENE ARSENE SORT IT OUT' just like in the GG days when we were down at H/T.

Applaud and we are just playing into Wengers Success plan (top 4).

The more that stay and chant this mercilessly from start to finish the more affect it will have.

Throughout the game ' Arsene Arsene sort em out' even if we are winning.

hardly richpye, seems i struck a nerve.

still spose ur one of those mongos who clapped them off today. just shows our away support may be vocal but most are a bunch of retards who dont actually give a shit about whats in the best interests of afc, rather arsene and his boys. if they did they wouldnt appluad the shite they see every other week.

its sickening the positve reaction that was given today by 90% of the away support, based on reports.

LOL awesome, like that scene in Bloodsport when all the judges turn their back in disgrace.

I tried so hard to find a picture of that...

I'm with this. Make enough noise and discontent to get the media reporting about "misery at the Emirates" and then maybe some heads will turn. Or roll.

Nothing will happen.

Many young millionaires will wander around the pitch because they are made to do it.

A few thousand will leave, perhaps some out of protest but it wont look any different from a normal home game.

Eboue will be at the front of it all, and of course will probably throw something into the crowd to continue his love affair with our section of mugs who lap this up

Playing mantis, even if on the form, I totally agree with you, I'm not sure calling fellow gooners "mongs" will make them adhere to your opinion...

I can't afford t go to matches, but I don't see how turning on fans who spend thousands following a club they love is going to solve anything.
If they are willing to put up that level of financial commitment to that team, they can clap, boo, hiss, spit for all I care they deserve it.

Arsenal's away support has been fantastic this season in the majority even when we have been playing some of the most dire football in years and those fans should be applauded.

If you are unhappy fine, but take it out on those who are to blame, not those who aren't
